Each hole on the base of the hitch is spaced 5 inches apart. This is 25 inches in length. There are three support braces between each other. This is 75 inches long. My Simplicity tractor had holes in the support brace that did not match the existing holes in my support brace. The hole I made for the air I had to drill had to be 2 inches wide. I made it from a piece of 2 inch angle iron.

If you are looking to attach your riding mower to a hitch then you found it. This product is built in the USA so it is quite sturdy and well made! The piece has been well received by me so far and I have not encountered any issues. Originally, I do not think the secondary bracket is needed, but my tractor lower plate was bent after that. An easy and quick fix to give it a more beefed-up appearance. It took me a little bit of time to adjust my machine, but I am not in the slightest bit disappointed. Considering I will replace the included hardware if it breaks, I feel that the only con I can find is that the included bolts might be of higher quality. In addition, there are 2 side holes on the main hitch that, if there were 2 extra bolts, I would have drilled a plate to use and also used them to mount it. The quality of the piece is good overall, nothing major to interfere with its usefulness.
This product was excellent, however, there were a few installation challenges that kept me from being able to give it five stars. Please let me tell you that the product's fabrication and quality are excellent, and I'm also very pleased with the hardware you Add (2) optional brackets to the end. I am writing this review in detail so I can share my experience with those who are not mechanically inclined, in the hope that it will make installation more seamless and easier. So, let's get started on the challenges that may arise Please let me first make the comment that I realize this hitch system is a generic, multi-purpose addition to your existing tractor towing system. There's a 19 year old John Deere/Scotts S2348 in my barn Garden Tractor of the 23 Series by Saber. Despite the majority of the supplied brackets being larger and more robust, I was not able to utilize the large, robust bracket as it would have interfered with the bagging system bracket located on the tractor's right side. I chose the smaller (1) bolt on bracket because of its smaller size. Mounting the bracket on the back frame of the tractor requires the use of both 3/8" bolts and locking nuts to provide more strength to the mounting point. There was no mention of this option in the instructions. Mounting the bracket to the frame, to begin with, was a challenge due to the fact that the middle of the frame is stamped with detail at the factory to give additional integrity to the frame overall. I had to be creative and use my engineering skills in order to mount the bracket. A closer look at the attached picture can be found there. The quality of the product had blown me away, and I was unwilling to return it. I was determined to mount the hitch because i wasn't going I therefore decided to loosely mount all of the bolts and lock nuts. By doing this, I would be able to line up all of the mounting points more easily with the eye bracket for the hitch ball, and the frame bracket for the trailer frame with more ease. A second issue I had was that I was not certain the small bracket would be adequate for distributing or carrying the weight efficiently, so I decided to use the (2) 5/16" bolts and lock nuts included with the hitch's Please refer to the attached pictures for details of where I drilled the (2) 5/16" holes in the tongue portion of the tractor's frame and where the (2) holes on the hitch are located, and where the bolts and lock nuts were installed. However, the instructions do not provide an option for this. As a result, after tightening all of the lock nuts and the hitch ball nut, the plan worked as It is clear from the images that the brackets were designed on a slight angle from the back of the hitch to the frame of the tractor, but the brackets are not bent, thus providing the integrity needed to support the towing capacity of the hitch This is also along with the (2) 5/16" bolts and lock nuts that I installed earlier as I mentioned. Over the weekend, I used the new hitch to move around my 600-pound log splitter and towed my large dump trailer with the new hitch. I weigh lb. With respect to the hitch, there were no issues. I installed this hitch on my Craftsman T240 lawn tractor and I found it to be an excellent purchase. The process of moving a utility trailer is easy and quick.
