Questions & Answers

Do the wheel gears have plastic or metal gears?

Plastic is used in both the gear mechanism and the wheel. Metal is used for the gear that drives the brush.

How wide does this sweeper cover in its entirety?

Approximately 50 inches will be the overall overall width of the sweeper from the outside wheels to the outside wheels. The number five.

Do you know anyone who makes sweepers with metal brushes?

My understanding is that there is only one, but I think that would be a poor design choice. The spiral plastic brushes have been very durable over the last 3 years and a small sweeper like that would be a lot more practical to me than a It has worked flawlessly, although I'll likely inspect it for wear at the end of this fall to see if necessary, proactive parts would be nice (if they are reasonable, or if I have to buy a new sweeper next year because the 42" is perfect for tight spaces).

Are walnuts picked up by this machine?

With this lawn sweeper you will be able to pick up many different materials found on your lawn, such as nuts, pine cones, leaves, grass, and more. Providing that the walnuts aren't deeply embedded in grass or deep rooted in the ground, it will pick them up.

Excellent product
5/5

I was hesitant to buy this sweeping machine due to reviews that claimed it couldn't stand up to use. It couldn't be easier. I'm used to operating heavy farm equipment so maybe that's why I'm so comfortable with it. I have owned a lot of sweepers, but this is by far the best one. **Had an issue with one of the buttons snapping shut It is a bar. It is a popular movie Inserting the female bar into a male button would not result in an Up button appearing. By removing the spring steel pop-off, I was able to solve the problem As you clean out the pop-up, get up from the bar With a drill, drill up the hole in the bar. Please re-write A pop-up window has been installed That's it! You're up and running! I like her because she works so well. I see
Furthermore, this sweeper does an excellent job picking up pine cones (except for the very large ones) but is less effective at picking up leaves from elm trees. *UPDATE*09/25/2018 WINDSOR, ALBERTA Throughout my lawn, my Slippery Elm tree has dropped a large number of leaves ranging from small to medium. Also, my Pine trees have dropped a large number of This Ohio Sweeper did a great job picking up all the debris as I used my John Deere D110 riding mower with a new Ohio Sweeper to sweep it up. It has been very useful to me. In order to prevent leaves from blowing back out of the hopper, it has a partially closed front. It made a big impression on me.

Design and assembly are generally very good, although there are some suggestions for improvement

This is my first lawn sweeper since my 20-year-old one stopped working 38" Agri-culture 38 years old There are a lot of parts broken on this lawnmower. I received my Ohio Steel (OS) sweeper without damage, but the box was badly packed since no straps were used. Since the bottom was almost coming loose by the time I received it, I was concerned that it might fall out at generally provided a clear understanding of how to proceed, leading the installer through a series of small steps at a time, except for the top and bottom hopper tubes and the tensioning rod installation. OS uses more clips and pins than AG-This is because with OS There is a little difficulty in removing the hopper on Fab, but it's not too big an issue It is the Agri-Food industry There are little parts used by Fab that allow 5-dimensional designs When removing the OS's hopper, a screwdriver is likely to be required since it uses snap pins, which need to be removed after the second removal. A notable improvement is their use of multiple forms of communication The OS has a larger hitch to accommodate more tractors, but the leading edge of the OS is steel from the top down, whereas the Agri-Lite has a plastic top. " Metal was used up to a point, followed by a single bottom sheet There were two rubber gaskets -- 2 and 2 Tree roots may cause damage to the OS in this situation. In addition to the tips, I've added some photos to show how they can save you time. I was only allowed to upload six pictures from my collection to Amazon. Assembling the tensioning rods proved to be the most dangerous and difficult part of the project. Put on safety goggles or safety glasses if you can. To set up the tensioning rod, put the hopper on its back and step inside it. You will probably need a pair of grippy gloves or a pair of disposable nitrile gloves for this step, so that the rod doesn't slip while you are working with it. Stack the rod in the top tube and then guide it to its final position by holding either end in your hands and the center of the rod with your other ones You may need to try several times before figuring it out. When installing the bottom and top tubes into the hopper, make sure that the two tensioning rod holes are facing at the same time, otherwise you'll end up spending about 15 minutes undoing them. Comparing the Agri-Pro sweeper to the sweeper I purchased from Arc, I am impressed with the overall quality This is fab It is true that some aspects of each are better than others, but I prefer the OS to The entire thing can be rolled up for minimal storage space and disassembled for maximum width. Agri-products are made of materials that I think will cause problems In contrast, the fabric hoppers were of higher quality Initially, I amn't too pleased with the thinner bottom of the OS hopper, since the bottom of the hopper takes the most wear. However, once the sweeper is attached properly to the tractor, the bottom of the hopper should be a couple of inches above A 5-star sweeper would have gotten a 5-star rating if the hopper had been more rugged. As of 9/3/19 As of August, I am going into my fourth season with the sweeper and so far, the hopper bottom has held up well to many full loads of wet leaves and grass. All of the parts still line up nicely and none of the hardware has been lost. It turns out that my fears about roots getting wedged between the brush guard and the bottom front has not come to pass.

An old leaf sweeper has become a The instructions are easy to follow, so putting it together was very straight forward

As I was cleaning up horse poop in the paddock, I used my sweeper. I was very pleased with the result. Despite the fact that the poop was dry, the machine picked it up without picking up much dirt or dust. I then swept the concrete driveway, which I also found it to be very useful. Last but not least was the rock driveway, which did a good job, but you had to adjust the height setting in order not to pick up a whole Except for the bottom of the bag, which needs to be reinforced, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. My thinking is that gluing aluminium, or any other metal, to the bottom of the box would suffice.

I was very satisfied with the results

Having put 30 hours into this, I'm sure it was worth it. The last time I used this was October 13th 2015 to clean up leaves from my lawn and the driveway. I was very satisfied with the results. Over the course of last year (I live in the woods), I probably ran this sweeper 30 hours. Apparently, in the last 8 hours, the bottom of the plastic hopper (made of plastic) has developed holes in it and, as a result, is separating from the fabric that surrounds it (the stitches are coming undone). Even though I have beaten the hell out of this thing in the 38 hours I have had it, they aren't cheap. Still, for the price I would expect them to last so much As the hopper physically sits on the ground, grass, and asphalt, I can see why the bottom of the hopper will eventually give out over time. I'll be buying a new one, and I'll look for a brand with the hopper sitting up in the air. In order for this product to survive the beating, I would suggest screwing some kind of reinforcement to the bottom of it. This would prevent your plastic hopper from getting destroyed.

Adding an update. On April 20. I wanted to share a couple of pictures of spring cleaning. A total of 90 dollars was picked up Ninety five percent. Some of the links were either on the wrong side of the page or were too large. A quarter acre is all that exists in my yard. The first thing I have to point out is that this is not a sweeper, but more like It is best to buy a sweeper if you desire one. With that being said, it's still not perfect. This is not an ideal solution, but it does a decent This was quite the project given my 1/2 acre of land and the amount of dumping I have to do. Despite that, assembly wasn't too difficult except for stretching the fabric per the directions. I was particularly impressed with how Velcro was A few tips. In the basket, keep the cord for the dump. You will end up running over it either if you drag it in front or if you put it in front of you. I had to go to Lowe's and buy a replacement cord for my pickup.
One more tip, if you have gravel in your driveway as I do, grab the dump cord and lift the basket as you go Unless you clean the grave, the cemetery will be swept. Here are some pictures I added to the post. I forgot to mention that there are six piles. On that particular day, the yard was in pretty bad shape.
