It's great at picking up grass clippings. My John Deere has a system that collects grass clippings and blows them into bags. However, it would clog up all of the time. As a result, I began looking into other options for mowing the lawn. I finally got it, and it's perfect for the job. My only concern moving forward is that the way it's constructed makes me wonder if it's a little fragile, but I'm not being too rough with it and hoping it holds up. But, in response to your question, It does an excellent job of picking up grass, leaves, and other debris.
