Questions & Answers
Unlike the K5, the K5 is a light duty unit for the home. Generally speaking, you need a much more powerful unit (perhaps 2400 psi and 2 gpm) in order to reach a second floor. When you have a more powerful unit, you can then attach either a 10- or a 14-inch screen Extension of 5 ft or use of Bachelor's degree). Neither of these attachments can be used on the K5.
A transformer in the power company sends power to every outlet in your house through a short wire. The longer the wire from the transformer, the lower the voltage reaching It may be the case that you've used up all the available distance because your outside outlet is at the far end (away from the main panel) of a large house. In this case, you could connect a 50 foot #14 extension cord to the outlet if it is 10 feet away from the main. It's fine to extend the wire even if you have extra voltage, say 122 instead of 114, as long as you provide adequate voltage. Insufficient voltage, which will burn up your motor, is all that's required. A lightweight extension cord is long and strong. Is there a solution to this problem? To determine the size and length of the cable you need, locate the voltage at the outlet and the minimum voltage your pressure washer needs. Use an online voltage site to determine what size wire you need and the length of the cord you will need. There is no yes or no answer to this question

Selected User Reviews For Karcher K5 Premium Electric Power Pressure Washer, 2000 PSI, 1.4 GPM
I bought the Kärcher K5 because of its great reviews but I was not satisfied with their customer service. Yes there were a few plastic parts that felt cheap and flimsy like the quick connector for the garden hose, but I figured I could always find a third-party replacement when it failed later. Well, that may be true for garden hose quick connects, but the pressure hose might be more of a challenge.
Kärcher began using a proprietary quick connect on many of their consumer grade pressure washers somewhere around a few years ago. There are several of them, including the K5. The non-commercial nature of the product This makes the Kärcher Pressure washers average in the industry, since there are few (if any) third party accessories compatible with this series of units, so you're left at the mercy of Kärcher for all accessories that attach to the hose, such as replacements or extensions. A date has not been set as to when the item will become available (which is currently 'out of stock'). The experience with Customer Service was frustrating, so I asked to speak with Technical Support. She told me that was not possible and suggested I call a local Kärcher authorized repair facility. I then transferred my call to Warranty Support and after another five minutes they confirmed the problem and gave me a replacement. They provided me with a couple of numbers for 'Authorized Service Centers' near me after 10 minutes of waiting on hold. In other words, not only are you out of luck on the out of stock part, but if and when it finally appears, you will have to pay almost twice as much as you would elsewhere for the exact same part. What will be the date of the event? The Kärcher K5 can stay in the garage, and you can put your thumb on the garden hose as you did before you gave Kärcher $250 or more. In my mind, I'd love to return the K5 and move on to a device that is less proprietary, but I've been out of Amazon's return policy for two weeks.
With many washers available in many sizes and types, Karcher has been in the business for a long time. With 2,000 PSI at 1 bar, the K5 model offers a significant amount of pressure. This system moves 4 gallons of water In other words, the unit wouldn't be able to use a lot of GPM at that pressure, likely because a larger capacity pump would be more expensive. I took about 20 minutes to assemble the pressure washer and it was fairly easy. In the first 10 minutes or so, I spent at least 10 minutes trying to get the high-pressure hose to seat into the pressure pump. It's a real pain in the a**. No idea if the machining was off or what, but I was ready to drink another However, I have managed to put it together and it looks pretty nice. It is quiet when this puppy is at work. With the high pressure wand, I can't believe how quiet it is when it's running. 2,000 PSI feels like much less than that! There may be a reason for this, such as it being a lower volume or its being a peak level. The product does a good job at cleaning and you can use it to clean off your deck, wash your car, or wash your You will be just fine with it. Use it for commercial purposes if you plan to do so Other options may be available. As a result, this is an excellent balance between power and value. If you're looking for something really heavy duty, expect to spend an additional In spite of this, keep in mind it is NOT a $500 gas pressure washer, and therefore, those who compare it to this are being unfair. This product was provided to me at a discounted rate so I could give my honest and unbiased opinion on Hopefully my review was useful to you, and if so, please indicate your satisfaction with it Your help is greatly appreciated!.
It's my first time using an electric power washer, but I've used gas power washers in the past, so I can compare this electric device to Thanks to this power washer, I am very happy. Even with instructions that just provided a sequence for assembly, I was able to assemble the furniture very easily. The product worked well on some tough stains in my driveway and on the walk in front of my house. In Florida, there is a high humidity that quickly causes the moss on anything that does not get direct sunlight to grow. It worked like a charm on the worst areas thanks to the water pressure and nozzle. I have attached pictures of the before and after. Among the photos is one with the majority of the moss removed, but with some still left behind to show how it cut through. As a result, my wife immediately proclaimed me to be a hero! I am a very happy wife. I wish you the best of luck!.
My old power washer from another brand lasted 25 years. I bought this one a year ago to replace it. In the past, it was a great success. The Karcher was stored according to the directions at the end of the Earlier today, I pulled it out to power wash the patio and initially the dirt blaster pulsated in a start-stop pattern, like it might be part of a circuit. Pause for a moment. This part of the circuit- A pause made it difficult to control the wand. I searched online troubleshooting and found that most of it can be tailored to a particular model. The tip of the wand did not appear to be clogged after I finally removed it. The other wands and attachments work with no issues, so I don't have a cavitation problem or low water pressure problem. The tip or any of its components didn't appear to be dirty or filled with any mineral deposits. As soon as I assembled the tip again, it worked normally for about 30 seconds, then froze up. I couldn't get it to respond when I tapped it on the ground. I saw water pulsate for 30 seconds then freeze in place with a single, reduced flow each time I unscrewed the tip, shook it, and added it back together. It was maybe 12-14 days before I used it In the past year, I spent 15 hours. $279 seems like a lot of money for a pair of shoes that will last a long time. There's a $100 difference in cost between the same power washer on Amazon and the one I was looking at. Now I have to pay $25-$30 for not only having completed the job on what might be the only day in a two week period of good weather, but also failing to power wash my concrete. I would like to spend $30 to upgrade to the "official replacement" that has been criticized all over the web for not performing The experience last summer was great, and I am disappointed in this one. The last Karcher product I bought was a few years ago.
