Questions & Answers

Where does the difference between the BV5600 and BV6600 blowers lie?

With a cost of a little more it has a range of air speeds of 140-155 mph This model can fly at 250 mph, whereas the BV5600 can fly at 180 mph - 300 mph A 250 mph speed limit. BV6600 was my choice because it would let me use it at a lower, quieter airspeed in areas that required less power.

In what ways are the B&D BV5600, BV6000, and BV6600 different?

On the Black and Decker website, the difference is the attachments that come with the tool. There is only one difference between these three models, and that is the attachments they come with In addition to the vacuum tubes, blower tubes, concentrator, reuseable collection bag, leaf blaster attachment, and two speed switch, the BV5600 includes the following components. *BV6000 comes with vacuum tubes, blower tubes, concentrator, diffuser, disposable bag, detachable strap, two speed switch, and extra bag. This machine comes with all the same attachments as the BV6000, as well as a rake attachment, and it comes with a variable speed switch.

Do you have a bag attachment that would be most suitable for collecting ash, or would a standard/disposable bag do?

You should not use this as a ash catcher inside the house. You might be able to accomplish this outside without having to deal with any difficulties.

In the question area, there are references to a rake attachment with the Black & Decker BV6600, but I do not see it in the product description on Amazon Does it include?

You are right, the rake is Though I doubt if it was one of the deciding factors in my decision to purchase the device. The leaves would ball up on the rake, which I find to be a hindrance. This unit has great features such as a blower, vacuum, and

The cheap fit and finish caused this to fail It was a very disappointing experience
3/5

It has power (sweeping or sucking), and I really wish I had one. I have a small yard, and I dream of having a leaf vacuum/blower to blow the leaves in a pile, vacuum them, and dump them in our hard waste. Simple to use, but light enough to carry around. There's a problem here The leaf collection bag (when you vacuum them up) has a small plastic cylinder attached to it. It is possible to drop off the bag by pressing a button on the unit. As soon as the bag touched the floor, it stuck- It would take a minute of fiddling with it to finally get the bag to release. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the button, or if some extra piece of plastic is getting caught. As time went on, it became increasingly difficult. After three hours of use, the thing would not separate from the skin. My mechanical skills are fairly proficient, so I tried both mechanical and force-driven systems for a few minutes The best way to get it off is based on approaches Unfortunately, I did not succeed. In the next 10 minutes, my wife, who has degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and Rocket Science (astronautics and aeronautics) and has designed and built and fixed thousands of pieces of equipment, spent working on it - which is quite amazing. It is simply a matter of pressing the release button and hoping for the disk to release I tried unlocking it, but it was locked. It is quite literally impossible to use the unit after approximately 3 hours of use due to this design flaw (or manufacturing flaw if it is a fit and finish problem). The presentation is extremely disappointing, but please do not purchase it to save yourself this frustration.

This is the best product on the market! We have been able to change our lives thanks to this tool! This is amazing to think that they finally developed it! This is a wish I've had for a long time! It is impossible to blow the leaves out of the shrubs and away from the shrubs without having the pine straw just fly into the air, so we used to drag our shop vacuum around the yard to suck the leaves out of the shrubs
5/5

Instead of mulch, we use pine straw. Muck is too heavy and time-consuming to use over a large area, but its leaves are not as easy to get out as they should be. The fall/spring clean-up each year was a real headache, and we couldn't even hire anyone to do it, as no one wanted to do Our shop vac used to clog every 5 minutes, so we would have to drag it around and empty it every five minutes. I had my husband do the entire lawn in just a few hours (versus multiple weekends). The unit never clogged and even though he had to empty the bag, it was very easy and fast. We did also purchase the trash can attachment hose but that was a waste of money. I do not know who did the research and analysis Despite having D for the component, however, I'm seriously wondering if the component was ever used in real life since it was only a joke.

EACH AND EVERY PENNY WORTH IT
5/5

It is mostly leaves from all the trees around here, as I have gravel to cover the grass. I am 50 years old and I do everything in my power to keep my yard looking nice. There are a huge amount of leaves shed every day by the trees! Unlike my previous blower/vac/mulcher, this one does a great job of blowing the clumps where they should be, and most importantly, does so with ease in an enclosed area. This wonderful device suckers leaves (and covers my gravel) and grinds them up into compost for me to add to my compost pile! I can also use it to make a ton of extra space in my trash cans if I decide to toss them out. Although I don't mind getting my bag full quickly, I don't mind filling it up as quickly. If you only have one bag and it rips or falls apart you might want to order extras.

The weight of this item is great! In addition to vacuuming leaves, I also use it as a mulcher
3/5

The bag that came with it does not work for me because I also purchased a trash can attachment, allowing me to blow the leaves directly into it. Due to the fact that I cursed it a few times while using it, I only gave it 3 stars. My body weighs about ten pounds and this thing is a bit big for me. Carrying a sack of potatoes weighing 10 lb and aiming it downward is tantamount to carrying one of those! In a hurry, it becomes heavy. The blower is heavy and bulky, so I did secure my garbage can to a dolly so that I could move it, but the blower still has trouble carrying my trash can around on its own. However, it does an okay job of collecting leaves and mulching them. It looks to be made of a metal material, not of plastic, as it is a pretty solid, rigid blade. It is recommended for those who want to mulch the leaves but are able to handle the weight, however, those who are seniors may not like it.
