It was half the size of the BBQ after I cut it in half. As I cooked the chicken, I first grilled it in the open grill side until the skin was crisp to my liking. A flare-up is not allowed BUY IT. That's a good sign. Tonight I grilled one on a gas grill using Liquid Propane. It was a really nice summer day, so I cooked hamburgers, two large mushrooms, and several slices of potatoes. The program worked perfectly. It has been a real joy working with them! There was a noticeable difference in the meat's moisture. Besides serving homemade spaghetti with meatballs that I cooked on the grill, I also grilled some meatballs. No matter how much Pam we sprayed on the grill, they would have probably stuck to it. The only reason I ordered these was to see for myself what all the fuss was I can say right off the bat that they do exactly what they are advertised to do. My dinner guests came over and I planned on grilling steaks, so I put one of these mats on one side of the grill and grilled mushrooms, onions and garlic in butter while the steaks grilled on the other side, and they turned out to be perfectly cooked. I have since grilled all kinds of vegetables on them (always adding a little olive oil or butter), including zucchini, peppers and onions medley, asparagus, etc. with the same perfect results. A grill grate mark could also be seen on the asparagus. You can see grill grate marks on their grills too. Every grillaholic would be pleased to have these. I have bought several other grillaholic friends these and have had them sent to them.
