I have a 36" Blackstone grill with a grease catcher in the back. The cover is well made, easy to put on and take off, not too heavy, and looks very nice. The cover would not hang on the back of the grill while I was cooking because the container that collects the drippings prevents the hangers from reaching the grill's rim. I simply removed it and set it aside for a few days of cooking. Then, by chance, as I was removing the cover, it caught on the back rim with the "hinges" that it is supposed to hang from, securing the cover to the grill's back. As a result, it will dangle, but at an oblique angle. Because the grease catcher prevents it from hanging straight down, it can't. This isn't meant to be a criticism, but rather a clarification. This is a great cover, and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
Update: Because the company never reached out to make things right, I gave it a lower rating. br>br>Product arrived on time, but upon inspection prior to assembly, I discovered it was damaged. Check out the images. It was very simple to put together. It's not too flimsy, but it's not too light. Aside from the dent, the cover fits perfectly and looks great. I would give 5 stars if the seller spent more money on product packaging, and I will upgrade my review based on the seller's response.
The lid is extremely light, but it appears to be well made and, so far (it's only been a week), it appears to be quite functional. It was simple to put together because the handle and hardware were included in the box. br>br>Can you see how it's hanging on the "back" of the grill "while cooking" in that photo? Uh, nope. The drip bucket is now part of the grill's new design, and you can't hang the lid on the back of the grill without removing it. It's just not right. To operate the grill, the lid must be completely removed, which I don't mind. We've had a couple of storms, and the lid appears to be doing a good job of protecting the contents. I don't expect it to be perfect; all I want is for it to keep the wildlife out.
br>br>I have the blackstone 36in with the grease drip on the front right and it fits perfectly (as shown in the photo). The cover has a small amount of wiggle room (1/4 inch) from front to back so you can have it flush with the front drip trough or have it hang over slightly; It keeps water (and dog fur) off the griddle in either case. br>br>Another thing to keep in mind is that The bolts did not fit the nuts, according to some reviews, which are nylon locking nuts that aid in liquid passage. They do, however, require some basic tools (an 11mm socket wrench and a 5/32 hex screwdriver) to get enough torque to get through the nylon and make a truly secure fit. br>br>I hope this information is useful. Grilling with the lid is a lot of fun! P. br>br>P. br>br>P. br>br>P. Some reviews stated that they were unable to obtain the handle. Two handles were included with mine. Maybe I'm the one who got yours, hahahahahahahahahahahaha.
This griddle is one of our favorites, and we've had a lot of fun with it. My only criticism is that it is in desperate need of a hard top cover. We bought the soft cover, but it leaks water onto the griddle surface, which requires time to clean and prep. We replaced the soft cover with a hard top that fits, and it's made a huge difference.
To begin, I'll say that after reading the reviews on this item, I probably would not have ordered it. br>br>Shipping was terrible. I placed my order for this item in early June. It was shipped on June 14th, according to the notification I received. I sat and waited for news about the shipment. I still hadn't received any nearly two weeks later. I sent a message to the seller, who replied quickly and apologized, offering to refund my money or reship the item. Because I had read the reviews and was already annoyed, I chose to return my money approximately 2 hours after receiving the response. I received a response shortly after that stated that the order had already been reshipped. On June 26, the order was finally shipped. br>br>On June 29, I received the order fairly quickly. Fortunately, my cover did not suffer the same fate as the others. It was very simple to put together, even though I didn't have any of my own tools. However, this isn't a major issue. br>br>The cover is a good fit for the Blackstone. For it, it's quite large. And, as others have stated, using the hooks with the model that has the drain on the back is nearly impossible. Even if I wanted to attach bolts to the top of the lid to make the lid hinges, I'd need at least 4 inch bolts to fill the void space. The cover is made of a very thin metal that is quite flimsy. br>br>In reality, I bought it to keep the rain out and provide a lift for the tarp cover so that water didn't collect on the top during rain. At the very least, it serves that purpose. br>br>For the money, I'll probably go with the Blackstone brand next time.
With a little tinkering, the product fits as intended. It comes into contact with the grease trap in the back, if you have one, and thus becomes quite filthy. Because the grill is made of thin sheet metal, you must let it cool completely before closing it, or it will warp. It gets the job done, but I was expecting more for the price.
For my husband's new flat top grill, I purchased this cover. A grill cover was also purchased. My husband loved it and has been using it consistently since he received it, so I got it at the same time as the grill, which was convenient. He adores it, and it is in desperate need of this defense. This is something I would recommend and would buy again.
