Before working on the BBQ, make sure you have a new battery (Duracell) and that it is facing the right way. Also, make sure the gas is turned off. br>Check the wires to be connected, one grounded to the frame of the BBQ, and the other on the igniter rod with at least 1/8 to 1/4 spacing to the gas tube hit the bottom and there should be a sparking sound, if there isn't, it could be a defective igniter. (A spring has been established on the shore.)
I'm not sure what a next grill is, but it works great. Just make sure you get one with the same number of ignators as your grill because it's pretty universal. I rebuilt my entire grill for under $50 with new parts such as burners, ignators, and this switch. I didn't have to buy a new grill because of this, and it looks brand new now.
I'm not sure. Check to see if it matches the one you have now. Except for where the round end is, they'll all be fairly universal.
The knob is hidden beneath it. Remove the knob and insert the battery into the compartment.

This is a review of a 3-year-old Nexgrill with two burners. When I pressed the start button, there was no snapping sound. I knew I had a problem. I attempted to replace the battery, but it was not successful. I was hoping it wasn't the ceramic spark thingy, so I went ahead and bought this grill replacement part, and I was ecstatic when I connected the sparky things to this new spark generator and heard the popping begin again! Although it differs slightly from the original (as seen in the photos), it functions flawlessly and fits into the same hole. I'd make another purchase. Bonus: I also switched to stainless steel gas tube covers. These items, which I purchased quickly on Amazon, have exceeded my expectations. Now I'm all set for the grilling season in the spring!.
It's not difficult to set up. If the nut is on tight, you may need a tool to grip it, as well as long nose pliers to work with the electrical connections. It's best to use a brand new AA battery. 1) remove the old unit by unscrewing the button and then the nut; 2) swap wires from old unit to new unit, one at a time, to ensure they are in the same position on the new unit; 3) make sure you remove the nut from the new unit before putting it in place and screwing the nut first, then the button.
The switch mechanism was covered by an exposed rubber boot in the original. The rubber began to degrade and disintegrate over time. This one appeals to me because the button covers are metal and appear to be of higher quality. The only issue I had was that this one uses an AA battery, whereas the original used an AAA battery, so I had to widen the mounting hole a little. It's not a major issue. The bottom line is that it works well and is reasonably priced. Aside from that, the original has exposed components on the underside, whereas this one is completely sealed.
It would have been ideal if there had been some instructions on how to connect the wires. If someone could explain how it works, for example, is it necessary to connect one lead to the ground? My burners were not lit after I installed it. There was no phone number to call for help, and this was an exact replacement for the original, but it didn't work.
It's a great deal, and it's a lot better than the ignitor that came with the car. Ignitor is fantastic! My patio heater's ignitor was replaced with this. I had to move it a few inches and drill a larger mounting hole because it was larger than my original ignitor. There's no need to be concerned. It performs admirably. At a reasonable price, this is far superior to the factory supplied ignitor, which stopped working after about a year. This one, hopefully, will last a little longer. It comes highly recommended.
NexGrill has been around for a year and a half. I've been using my NexGrill 4 for a while now. Since 2001, I've been using a burner side burner ceramic rotisserie burner, and I still enjoy it. Finally, the igniter failed, and this unit is difficult to light with matches. The original had an auto-lock feature that I couldn't find a direct replacement for. Anyway, I got this one set up so that the four main burners light up (I have to press a button, oh my), and the side burner and rotisserie are simple to light with a match or lighter. Great low-cost solution, especially when used in conjunction with new burner tubes and heat plates, as in a new unit. br>br>Now if I could just find the grates for a reasonable price; they're a strange size. (3 stars for durability because unknown).
The igniter on my Nexgrill had stopped working. I tried a different battery and it worked perfectly. no luck. On Amazon, I discovered and purchased this replacement igniter. It's not a perfect match for the broken one - I had to make a few minor adjustments to get it to fit in my grill, but it's fine now, and only time will tell how long it will last.
It not only works well and is simple to install, but it also has a better design and I am confident that it will outlast the one that came with my BBQ. RECOMMENDED STRONGLY!.
