Questions & Answers

Have followed the steps, but am having trouble aligning the brackets on the bottom of the grill with the brackets on the left up tube assembly. There is a locking latch on the left that is blocking the path. Hey, can I ask for your help?

Although it has been a long time since I put mine together, I remember almost putting it together backward. It is vital that you have the legs positioned as shown on the picture, as otherwise a few of the holes will not be on the right side. The feet must have been positioned so that when the braces were put on, the feet were perfectly level on the floor. Though some people find it a hassle, it is a very good portable grill in comparison to other portable grills. There is a terrible lack of quality control! Cuisinart products are a part of my entire kitchen, so I picked this grill because I love them
3/5

It was an unfortunate display of loyalty! Assembling has been a challenge for two years I analyzed each and every part of the instructions over the course of 3 hours. It is not clear from the diagram which way the legs (that arrived assembled) should be put together. There was a problem with one side of the cart, and it could not be assembled as it was. As a result, I spent hundreds of dollars to have my contractor take apart the leg assembly and reassemble it The grill should be assembled. I had a hard time holding the cart -- which had wheels -- in place while lifting the grill onto a moving target even before realizing what was wrong. It broke when I dropped it on my toe. Buying this grill would not be a good idea! My grill does not work, so I cannot explain it to you. Our vacation home needed the furniture, but we didn't have time to test it before we left, and the time it was assembled, I.

Designed to be used / owned for only a short time
3/5

This grill is not meant to last. The grill began to deteriorate after one summer, even when good care was taken and a grill cover was used to protect it from the weather. The covers I had before I got this one were stored in my utility room when it wasn't in use. This was the first gauge to go - the temperature gauge I was unable to use it after one summer. You can see a 300 degree searing temperature before you turn the grill on. In that order, the flame diverter and the grate came next. Both of these items are rusted so badly that they cannot be used from one side. As for the grate, you'll be lucky if the steak doesn't end up with a shard of rust stuck to it.

All in all, this is not a powerful grill, and I would have bought another appliance if I knew it could possibly have problems in the future.

Cooking with Cuisinart products is different from when they were first introduced
3/5

After purchasing it for my motor home, I did not use it for a long time due to other obligations in my life. As soon as I took it out of the box, I was completely lost by the instructions and what was inside. My eureka moment came when I realized the stand had been improperly assembled at the factory after spending several hours attempting to assemble it! My confusion stemmed from the illustrations in the instructions, which were simply not representative of the part. After taking apart the stand and rotating one pair of legs in the opposite direction from the illustration, the stand fit together -- but not nearly as well as I had anticipated. As a result of the manufacturing issue, the legs were warped and I was concerned about using it. Two different Cuisinart CSRs said that they would like me to return the product, but that was impossible seven months after I purchased it. Unlike many other products made in China, I had a similar experience with this product as well There was a problem with quality control in the factory. How this item made it to market is a The black paint was also applied incorrectly because the rack was assembled in the wrong direction when it hit the paint. The stainless steel is thin and makes a lot of noise when heated, so do not assume a quality product just because it comes from Cuisinart. During use, the stand accumulates heat and the latch to secure it in a collapsed position fails to function properly. It's hard to avoid disappointment with so many issues. This can be done for less money and better.

You have to deal with the cast iron
4/5

It is amazing how good that grill is! A steak sears beautifully on it since it heats up so quickly. In fact, some of the higher-smoke-point oils still smoke quite a bit even at these high temperatures. In fact, when I have seared steaks, people have stopped to make sure that nothing is on fire. This method keeps all the flavor and juices in the meat. It also leaves a beautiful grill mark. Cast iron grate is difficult to clean, and that's the only complaint. It's tough to scrape all the food off, so you'd think you'd be all right if you actually put several hours into seasoning it. Unfortunately, I didn't put that much effort into it and it takes hours to fix it. Edit

I used this thing for about six months before it broke. In the process of changing out the propane tank, the valve transferring the gas from the tank to the burner snapped in half. Although no heavy force was applied to the device, it seemed to be brittle after heavy use because there was a weak point in the design. The customer service department at Cuisinart will be contacting me tomorrow to see if they can send me a replacement part. The second edit My customer service representative was VERY helpful and said they'd send me a new regulator free of charge. I sent them a copy of the invoice from Amazon as well as a picture of the problem. So hopefully I'll grill much more.

Great product
4/5

I love the brand and the grill works very well. I highly recommend. Over the entire grill, the temperature is the same. A second one is on its way to me. It was only because of the roll away option that I replaced mine. In addition to the legs giving 4 stars, the only other reason is the pacing. As a beginning, the instructions are not the best and are They are not very sturdy, however, and that is the only issue with the legs. As I attempt to clean the grill , the legs shake a bit which makes cleaning the grill more difficult. A more sturdy set of legs would have made a huge difference.

grill, and better than i expected it to be for its size
5/5

I used this grill on a camping trip over the weekend and could not be happier with it. This is PRO A compact design makes it easy to heat up this grill very quickly. In addition to this grill, I also used a 20lb BBQ tank and an You may want to consider getting a refill kit from Flame King or DOT certified refillable bottles for the 16 ounce tanks that will make it cheaper in the long run. As with most propane grills, it is capable of cooking steaks, fish, and chicken for up to 7 people, so it is ideal for cooking. It was built quite well, and I was very pleased with the materials and construction, as well as the cast iron grill. The design of the grill allows you to burn it all off, but the fatty pieces of meat present a problem of flare ups and oil buildups that can catch fire. However, you can burn off the grease to prevent the need to deal with it The cuts don't cause a problem on a larger unit since they can be moved out of the way until there's a flare-up or the fat burns ** CONS As part of the manufacturing process, the bottom of the grill mated up with the portable stand, and some of the machining was not done correctly this prevented me from using it as intended, and I had to send it in There were a few things that I did not ding my score for, but it is something that is worth watching. The replacement did not have this defect, but keep a look In addition to my first issue, I had a problem with the rubber stops that rest on the lid of Their breaking off at the slightest touch is an issue and they seem to be a problem. It would be terrific if Cusinart included a few of these, or at least a better-quality product.
