I'm tired of all the plastic junk in the world I was forced to use an old fashioned brass splitter after my splitter cracked. I was surprised that the price wasn't that much more than the plastic splitters and a lot less than the brass and steel ones I could find locally. And just by the feel of it, I know.

It seemed that one of the valves was working fine, while the other was completely blocked. The screw was even loosened as I tried everything to open it. They were unwilling to move. I had to go back and get another My other item I purchased originally worked great, so I'm guessing it was just a lemon.

With this splitter, I am able to use my garden hose as well as my soaker hose in a different part of my yard without having to disconnect and reconnect them. To use the splitter with one hose or the other, you can simply move the lever at either end of it.

I had no problems for about a month, and then I couldn't get it to work. As a result, the valve section at the split sprays water everywhere and is no longer useful. There was a high expectation that it would be more durable.

The quality is excellent. An all-metal construction that is great. If the lever hasn't been turned for a while, it can be a little hard to turn.
