It's just a twig, really. So, 5 years, I'd say. if it makes it to the end. Two of my friends died within a few weeks of each other.
I live in Maryland, and I wish I could have your climate! Camellias are evergreen and bloom in almost any weather, which is why they are so attractive. Yes, Jewel Pink is a success in Maryland. Others are available from Nuccios, and they are all exceptional!
The space is insufficient. Mine died after only two days.
Hello, some people have had success growing camellias as bonsai or container plants indoors. As long as they get enough light and are properly cared for.

So far, everything has gone well. The plant arrived in good condition, with live leaves attached. It was planted a day later, despite the fact that the labels stated that it should be planted right away (this was my fault), and it has all of the necessary tags and paperwork to prove that the plant is legal and not an invasive species that should have been destroyed by customs. Although it has not yet blossomed, the plant has been stable for over a month. It didn't perish or shed any of its leaves. I'll have to keep you updated once it blooms.
Camellias of various sizes are available, but they take time to mature into flower size. When received with moist roots and green leaves, the plants were healthy, but they were very small. I purchased two 1 quart containers. The plants were received in good condition and were planted the same day. One of the plants lost all of its leaves after about two months, but appears to be still alive; the other, on the other hand, has retained its leaves and appears to be doing well. They're still too small to be flower buds, but I'm hoping they'll grow and bloom soon. In the future, I plan to buy larger camellias.
I'd give it a lower score if I had the option. My plant was not in good shape when it arrived. Black spots could be seen on some of the leaves. It's gotten a lot worse since then. The plant's leaves have all turned black, and it's clear that it's dying. Because this plant appeared to be diseased, I did not plant it with my other camellias. I'm glad I didn't because it turned out to be a good decision. I tried everything I could think of to save it, but it was all for naught. Camilla, do not buy this. It's a complete squander of resources.
There isn't a quart-sized pot available. The plant is about 6 inches tall and comes in a 2 cup pot. For $22, you can buy a small plant.
It arrived all jumbled up and not at all like the picture. They tell you that after you've placed your order. We used to have six leaves on the stem, but now we only have four. I did some research on the best way to take care of. So I know I did everything I could for it, but it still doesn't seem pleased. I'll keep everyone updated on whether it grows or not, but based on what I've read, it won't be for a few years. I was duped by the picture and received this stick with six leaves, which has since been reduced to four or three leaves. I just noticed I have a new leaf growing, actually two. I had to cut the dead off and sure enough, there are two new leaves now. It will live, but I'll have to remember what it is because it won't flower for a long time.
The plants arrived quickly and appeared to be in excellent condition, so I was eager to get them planted. Within four days of receiving them, we planted them in the ground. I had placed an order - The gardenias and azaleas I ordered have grown tremendously and bloomed as of date (4 months after purchase). Both camellias died, which makes me sad. They were planted in the shade of an oak tree with plenty of water and Quick Start Miracle Grow fertilizer. Despite the fact that one of the plants was smaller than the other, it paid attention to the other. Perhaps try again, this time in a larger pot, until they develop a stronger root system.
I'm overjoyed! Last night, I got my Camellia Sasanqua "Yuletide" Camellia Sasanqua "Yuletide" Camellia Sasanqua "Yuletide I peered at them because I was curious about them, but I knew I'd be planting them the next morning. Look at the image! They arrived in good condition (except for one that was upside down), and they all had buds for new leaves. Before I planted them, I gave them a lot of water. I made a "plant sign" to show my neighbors that I'm completely insane for doing this in late February. I dug my holes, weeded them out, applied Milorganite slow release fertilizer, a dab of Hormongidin to encourage root growth, and mixed in some good potting soil and our own homegrown clay soil. I'm overjoyed!.
Governor Mouton Camellia arrived in excellent condition, was watered as directed, and was planted alongside Kramer's Supreme Camellia. I'm looking forward to seeing the beautiful blooms these two will produce, and so far they're both doing well!.
