It took me a long time to assemble this cabinet. The lock nuts were poorly constructed and frequently came loose. It looks nice, but I'm concerned that once it's filled, it won't hold up because the lock nuts, even when fully tightened, have left the cabinet sides loose. To make it more secure, I'm considering adding some screws to the sides. I would have returned it if I didn't like it and it didn't match my other furniture. If Ashley makes better lock nuts for this item, I think it will be a great piece.
It was difficult to put together, and the drawers are difficult to open and close. The instructions are terrible, and after putting it together, I discovered it was missing a piece. Last but not least, I'm having trouble locating the missing component. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS CHEAP ITEM AS IT IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME!.
It took a long time to put this together. It took a long time to put this together. There are far too many. The holes were not aligned properly. This item has been returned.
To be honest, I don't think it'll hold together. I started disassembling it halfway through because it was falling apart and I was going to return it. It's just a bad product.
Everything I was looking for in a file cabinet was available, and it complemented the rest of my farmhouse decor perfectly.
The groove for the bottom of one of the drawers is cut on the wrong side of the side board (see first photo), making it impossible to fully assemble/use. In addition, the other drawer, which can be assembled, fits in the cabinet crookedly. In addition, the structure is not particularly sturdy.
This is a cheaply made piece of garbage. It was difficult to put together and had chunks knocked out of it. There are parts that are missing. It's hard for me to believe there's an Ashley.
First and foremost, the product is attractive, but it is extremely difficult to assemble. For the money, it's not the best quality, but it gets the job done. I don't think it's a good idea, but to each his own.
