I used it with a pot that measures 9 inches.
It's sturdy, affordable, and very easy to assemble. I can't say enough good things about this plant stand. A screw adds even more stability to the two sliding pieces. They hold securely by themselves, but a screw helps them slide in and out of each other. I think the design is fantastic This planter allows for two different plant heights, depending on which side is used. Having a simple and clean look that draws attention to the greenery is exactly what I was looking for, because it doesn't clash with other elements in my living room. A benefit of using sustainable bamboo is that it is a beautiful and durable product. There is no doubt that the stand is worth buying.
You should not use the soft foot pads these come with to attach to the bottom of the legs if you have children or cats around and you're planning on setting the chair on a shelf or table. There will be a lot of sliding. In order to keep it from sliding around as we used it, we used sticky cork pads (3M brand). I mean, really, just slide the two pieces together, put one of the two screws into the top, use the little Allen wrench they provide to tighten the screw until it won't go any further, and it's ready. This is a plant stand. Or, you can use it as a water filter stand. Or, you can use it for whatever your heart desires. One star has been deducted due to a scratch on the wood as soon as it comes out of the box and for it not being sturdy enough to take an impact- Yet, it is sturdy enough and has a small enough knick that I can easily ignore The purpose of this will continue for a long time to come, I believe.
It was delivered on time and in good condition. Very nice plant stand that has a good size and is A glazed pot I already owned perfectly fits in this stand. I plan on displaying it somewhere in my office. Basically, I don't have any complaints, except I wish it were a little bit taller. However, I couldn't read the listing thoroughly before purchasing it.
