These planters were exactly what I was looking for, and they would have been even better if they had all arrived intact; I ordered two packages of six, and each package contained broken units. 25% of the twelve ordered are broken. I'm not sure if the planters were manufactured too cheaply or if the plastic bag in which they were shipped provided insufficient protection. Next time, I'll most likely go with a different planter.
Find something else to do. The hole in the bottom of the saucer is raised by the pot. As a result, the plant is unable to wick the water from the saucer back to the plant. In addition, the bottoms aren't perfectly flat. When repotting, this makes it difficult to avoid leaving voids at the root system's bottom. I'd return them, but I've already passed my return deadline.
If you treat them well, they will last several seasons. It's sturdy enough for potting up plants and looks great as a gift. Just what you need to start growing seedlings before planting them in the garden or final containers.
It was nice to have a variety of pot sizes, but half of them were broken on the bottom when they arrived. They also have a very strong plastic odor to them. The pots that were not broken functioned satisfactorily. I wouldn't buy it again if the opportunity arose. Next time, I'll go to a greenhouse or Home Depot and buy what I need.
These pots are a complete disaster. A little larger than a solo red cup, which holds at least 12 ounces of liquid. Brittle in nature. It is easily broken. Don't buy them, especially if you plan to use them outside; they'll break if you don't handle them carefully.
These are substantial pots, not to be confused with flimsy ones. They were purchased to fit into ceramic pots that did not have holes in the bottom. They appear to be a good match - It was far superior to anything I had previously tried. The fit and weight of the pot are perfect for me. They aren't particularly attractive, but they are ideal for this application.
These pots are fantastic; they're made of thick plastic and have excellent drainage. If you plan on putting them inside decorative pots (like the ones shown in the photo), they are slightly taller than an average nursery pot, but I can live with that because they are so much nicer than the nursery pots the plants come in.
These have excellent drainage but are an odd size, being taller than standard nursery pots and thus not fitting properly inside decorative pots.
