Questions & Answers

What is the duration of the event?

The first time I use it is at the start of season (mid-May here in Ohio) and I don't use it more often than once. All summer long, the skin looks great, and if you wanted it to always look fresh and new, you could repeat application as often as you wanted. In the past four years, I have not purchased any new mulch due to this product. This has saved me a great deal of time and money, as well as my back Labor that breaks the law.

Please say hello Would you please let me know the rain fastness of this product? Thank you very much?

Rain can fall on it within a few hours once it has dried

Is this brown mulch going to cover the ?

When it comes to refreshing brown mulch, it works well. Because the brown dye is a dye, if the red mulch is fresh, it may not soak as well as in a dried Plus, it is likely that you will see red pieces of mulch under the top layer of brown that you sprayed with this dye if the mulch gets disturbed. My pump yard sprayer was used for the application.

How can I combine this with herbicides like round up so that the weeds in my flower beds are killed as well as the color is revived?

My luck with that did not turn out well. In the sprayer, the color clogs up. As well as me, I tried to shave off a little time. First, you need to kill the weeds. I then chose

Adding flowers to the flower bed really brightens it up! The product worked very well for me
4/5

I have a large wooded area behind my home, and the first 20 feet of it are just like a big flowerbed. It would have been impossible to mulch this properly in the past. Two to three inches of mulch was laid along the edge I used this colorant to color the soil after applying 3 back, so that the unmulched area of light-colored soil shows through The mulched area no longer stands out as clearly as the colored soil does. My first photo is where I am before using the colorant, and my second photo shows the result. While colored soil and colored mulch are not exactly alike, the color is much more uniform than it used to be only after I added the colorant to the soil. Lastly, here is a photo of a flower bed in my front yard where I just dug up a few old bushes and planted a few new plants and added some fresh mulch to part of the The old mulch was colored to match the new mulch by using the colorant. Now that it all looks uniform, it must be pretty good. The next time I plan to keep the colorant off my hands by using laytex (or another waterproof) gloves that I use for painting. I was able to wash it off pretty well (but my hands still felt pretty dirty). As I cleared the sprayer nozzle of the clog, I caught it on myself. Because the colorant is fairly thick, the sprayer nozzle becomes clogged. To achieve that, I need to find a sprayer approach that works better. However, this product is still something I enjoy using and will continue to do so. The only thing I wish was that it was less expensive. Also, as I used it, I found myself wishing that the seller made it in green, as that would allow me to spray some My recommendation for this product is yes.

This product might be cheaper than EnviroColor, but it doesn't cover as well as the former
3/5

My mulch colorant of choice over the past three years has been EnviroColor by the manufacturer. My journey started with their brown stuff (2 summers ago) and eventually led to the black. Although the EnviroColor product worked really well, it is much more expensive (double as much). They provide coverage for supposedly 2600 square feet for about $28, compared to this stuff at $56 for supposedly 12800 square feet. This stuff is a real disaster, and I don't understand why. The only other way to say it is that I am sorry. There are about twenty arborvitae on my property as well as some Australian pines. (Granted, I'm making fun of color here) If you have these, you know they never stop dropping sharp pointy needles and turn a pretty brown/ orange color. No problem with EnviroColor because you just spray all the plants and in a matter of minutes they blend into the mulch and you don't have to spend hours raking them in or trying to scrape them out. ZERO impact, however, was made on those needles by this product! Furthermore, sometimes you come across leaves that have died. EnviroColor again, spray it on and it instantly blends into the mulch, this stuff, NOTHING. It just runs off the surface like a water droplet leaving behind the same ugly brown color. Furthermore, a bit of grass might grow up in the flowerbed even when you don't notice it. This product still leaves a visible coating, whereas the EnviroColor product would have turned it jet black immediately, as I've seen it after spraying. Do you want to color the mulch now? However, even then it doesn't have a dark black appearance as fresh mulch does, and it took me twice as long to get decent coverage, and even then I couldn't get it to look good. I even double coated it as per instructions, and even then it wasn't good. With Deere's brand, I never had to double coat (rather, I used EnviroColor's product which has a very deep black color) - I was able to spray farther Now, I will admit that the color only lasts about one month (using EnviroColor), but it does the job nicely. My experience with this product can't give me an idea of its durability since I just received my gallon and collected 20 ounces (4 gallons) before I decided it wasn't worth the effort to continue using. I just set up my return and will order the product that I know is going to work because I am a Prime member. For the record, I followed the directions exactly. I mixed 4 oz of the product to 1 gallon of water well shaken to ensure that it was mixed, and the disappointment was immediately apparent. I then did 2 batches with 5oz of product per gallon of water, and the coverage was poor in both. I am still disappointed with the last batch that contained six ounces to a gallon. It's worth paying extra for a product that covers any problem areas I might have, and that's also going to save me time and effort - I might not have said that 10 years ago, but as I get older I appreciate it more when things just work as they should. Obviously, the most obvious difference between the two products is the EnviroColor is regarded as a thick tar substance while this is mostly a liquid.

I love the color
5/5

In the past three years, I have used 4 gallons of this solution. I found it to be good stuff and did notice a difference in my These are some tips I would like to share with you based on my experience using The Deck sprayer is the only sprayer to be used. Sprayers for decks are used to apply waterproofing materials (tougher It is not recommended to use a pump-up sprayer for garden type spraying because it will plug the nozzle. This is going to be A Deck sprayer will not cause any problems for you. There is a staining effect from this stuff. You can get it on anything you want, but it stains everything. A lot of work goes into it, and it doesn't come easily. Apply it with caution. The mulch should be replaced if it has been aged for a couple of years. For the color to return to its richness, two applications may be needed. I think it's a great product and will extend the mulch's life by a couple of years!.

Although it's a good idea, I don't really care for it
3/5

It is amazing stuff that I purchased gallons and gallons of because it seemed like a great idea, but I could not put it to use. I'm not interested. I can't believe it's so expensive! When you mix it in your sprayer, you spray it out over your faded mulch and you've got a beautiful look. I like how brown it is! If you come back an hour or two later, it is gone. I mix it with weed killer, so I know I'm spraying where I've sprayed. So, now I mix it with weed killer when I spray in this area.

Despite its great application, the color of the patches does not match perfectly
4/5

A good product that goes on smoothly and lasts a long time. As there has been an abundance of rain in California, instead of applying to lawn grass that is light and dry, I am trying to spot in and blend some areas of brown patches. It does not match the green tall fescue that can be found in the mid Atlantic region when it is sprayed over. As a result of the great experience I had working with the company and its excellent product, I'm planning to spray some white grass striping paint over the darker brown to serve as a lighter base and bring out the green more. This is exactly what you need if your gras is dry and straw-like. In the event that you have dark brown patches on your skin from too much rain, that isn't intended. My plan is to try out a mix of white as a base under the green using the white as the foundation.
