This was a gift from my 17 year old grandson whose money I used to purchase the item. I don't normally write reviews but this is a fairly expensive item. My excitement faded as soon as I attempted to program it and the control panel wasn't working. When I opened the box I was very excited, and I was even planning to buy a few more afterwards if it worked, but unfortunately it didn't The clock took a long time to set and the up and down buttons don't work. I had to wait until 12 pm to plug it in. By returning it, I do not want to disappoint my grandson who works very hard for his money and was so happy to assist me with the purchase. All I can hope for is that the seeds actually germinate.
This has been in my possession for almost two weeks, and so far In addition to its nice looks, it also appears to be very quiet. There is no such thing as parsley growing. It looks as if the soil is moldy in the dill. Browning is happening to other herbs as well. The disappointment is so great.
If you have an older model like I do, you'll notice that this is very small compared to them. I have an old model next to it and it looks like the old one has a new I am waiting to see if the plants grow the same way with 6 slots. There are no lights that extend to the same height, and I am not sure if it holds as much water as well, so these are my only concerns.
