Questions & Answers

How large are the holes in which these would fit? Do you have any recommendations for what size bit I should use when drilling my own holes?

It is fine for a loose fit to measure 1 1/2". If you want the garden to snap into place like the one in the aerogarden, use 1 1/4". The holes in mason jar lids and plastic bucket lids that I prefer (and have used successfully) are 1 1/4" in diameter.

Can you tell me if they will go in a 2" or a 4" hole?

Each of these baskets is designed to fit into an AeroGarden. A two hole or four hole AeroGarden is not available. Instead, we offer three, six, seven, and nine hole games.

Could these be smaller seedpods that go in a starter kit, rather than the regular sized ones?

I have purchased both kits and packages of pods, and I find all the pods to be the same size. There was no difference in the size of the pods.

Could this be fit into the opening of a wine bottle?

There's not much that will fit into an opening of 5/8" now that these baskets taper from 1/2" to 1 5/8", so if you buy your wine by the gallon, you won't be able to fit much in!

It looks like they are a good seedling starter cup
5/5

Obviously they fit perfectly into the Miracle-Gro. I believe that the AeroGarden is the best. Moreover, you can use it for cloning or any other hydroponic function as well -- if your system supports it. A total of 75 slots are available. There are fewer risks associated with this than with Whenever you want to move them into the ground you don't have to worry about their roots being tied in, all you have to do is cut the bottoms of the pots, and the roots will just come out. If you want to reuse them after cutting the bottoms off of them to move the roots to dirt, make sure to tie the bottoms back together with string or whatever you use for that purpose.

As expected, they are exactly what you would expect
5/5

We bought them for starting our own seeds utilizing our aeroponics system These empty plastic containers are for peat seed pods in the garden. Their contents are as you might expect. There may be a way to make them more affordable but you won't get a specialty product on the cheap anywhere else. We can use them with our aeroplanes without any problems I'm gardening.

I give it two thumbs up and would give it more if I could
5/5

I love it. Similar to the aerogarden pods, these also come in the same size. You can see the pictures of the sponges I purchased to fit inside. Having a flat bottom allows you to place small plants that already have roots in them since the sides can be opened to allow roots to grow As long as you aren't applying a lot of pressure, the pods should last at least three years. The aerogarden pods are connected at the bottom, making it harder to transplant young plants with long roots. In addition to aergarden plastic domes, they fit the following four models But they don't connect to the pods unless you put a round piece of paper on top of them. Aerogarden paper stickers, for example, have a similar look to them. A legit aerogarden pod without a paper top will do the same In other words, they are the same. In my case, I bought the legit aerogarden lettuce pack and each pod germinated multiple plants, so I can't criticize the company. It is highly recommended and should be given a thumbs up. Besides, I didn't want to spend two hours on it. It costs $1. 00/pod. The bins I use are custom made, I put in my own seeds, and I use an air stone in some of them. Here is an image of the picture. This has been a fantastic experience for me. My fertilizers are either Maxigrow powder or the aerogarden liquid and I put it in once a week. For my holes, I use a 1mm diameter. This is the equivalent of 33mm, or five inches. The fit is perfect. I staggered my plants' growth so you can see how they grow at multiple stages. In case anyone is curious, the bulbs are 4ft T8 LEDs around 6000k and around 2000 lumens. Those are the ones I bought at Lowe's. CFL bulbs with the same number are also in my home. Their cost is low and they work well. My preference is not to have pink lights and I haven't tried grow.

Those I received with my unit were much better
4/5

The last time I moved basil, the last basket I was cutting incorrectly would not hold the seed pod correctly. So I'm on my 4th batch of basil (start them in the Aero then move them to soil) and one of the baskets got snipped incorrectly. It was also getting frustrating trying to get rid of the basil without damaging As soon as I received these, I was worried they weren't going to fit. They were thicker than my originals, so I was expecting them to be inconvenient. I cannot only admit that I was wrong, but I also think these fit Currently, I am in the process of printing the 4th batch of AeroGarden labels. At this price, I have no problems picking up a new set once i'm out if I can't save them during transplanting. If not, I will try to save them during transplanting in order to extend this 50 pack.

Using it could not be easier! This was purchased so that I could grow my own seeds with the grow light system that I also purchased through With the help of the pods and grow baskets, you can grow any type of plant quickly and easily
5/5

If you are using any type of container to grow in, then you should put the pods in the basket and then put the water in, then you can put the seeds in.

This gift is perfect for gardening all year round
5/5

The AeroGarden I have is amazing! Starting my tomatoes from seeds was an early start for me this year. In preparation for next year, I have already begun planning. We are pleased to see flowers starting, and now I'm moving them to a bigger container so that I can nurture them through the winter. The fact that the seeds are from actual plants, squash, watermelon, etc. makes it seem like spring is inside the house all year.

Using this tool is easy
5/5

When using your own seeds, it is best to use this. In addition to being practical, the system is simple, easy, works beautifully and just a joy to use. At a time when lettuce was almost $2 a head, we had our own lettuce. There is a $50 charge per person. The lettuce we eat comes from our own home garden and one head purchased a week. Romaine can even grow at the grocery store when it is recalled.

This is an excellent deal
5/5

Other methods have been tried to create my own Aerogrow pods for hydroponic gardens to make them more economical, but this has proven to be the only option. Use the sponges, as well as the baskets and any seeds that you own to begin growing anything you desire. As soon as I raised the light to accommodate the cherry tomatoes, they outgrew the two notices I had. I was away for the weekend and came back to find that they had grown past the two notices.
