'This is why I gave a 5 out of 5 rating. ' Deftness. Strength. Durability is an important factor. The case. Although it appears to be flimsy and ineffective in the photo, it is actually a hard cover. Strong. To add insult to injury. They also threw in a free pair of claw-equipped gardening gloves. br>br>Now, let's be honest. The locks were not flawless, and the feel was not smooth or flawless. However, if you're a serious gardener, you'll pay close to $30 per piece for those features. So for a SOLID B GARDENING KIT, you'll need this entire kit plus gloves. (There is no guarantee that you will receive gloves; neither the description nor the review mentions this. ).
These have made me very happy. I bought some at Home Depot prior to purchasing these. It wouldn't even cut a twig with the one from Home Depot. These are razor-sharp, light, and powerful. BUYING THESE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. PERFECT VALUE br>br>.
I really like how easy it is to use and how comfortable the handles are. These pruning shears come with everything you could possibly need for gardening and pruning. I like that you have four options to choose from, and that safety is a top priority for them all. They're simple to use, come with a handy storage case, and give you peace of mind that you won't injure yourself while working. br>br>These shears were created with you in mind, and they're perfect for your needs and safe to use at any time.
One fell apart after two weeks of use, and another locks every time you snip, requiring you to unlock it before you can make another cut. A third lacks a spring, requiring manual opening; however, you get what you pay for, so spend the same amount on one good pair, as there are some that are truly awful. They're being returned.
They are sharp and can easily cut through various thicknesses of branches when used with one of the four tools included in the kit. Despite the fact that I have small hands and arthritis, I am able to use all four pruners included with ease. Because of my arthritis, I was hesitant to purchase this set, but I am glad I did.
It's fantastic to find a set of shears for such a low price that can be stored in a binder. So far, they've all served me well when it comes to plant pruning. Because they're all sharp, disinfecting them with rubbing alcohol after each use is a good idea to keep them in top shape. They did have some stains or wear on the blades when they arrived (pic 2-). 4), which was a tad inconvenient. I believe I was given a pair of used shears when I returned them. When fully closed, one of the shears does not line up (pic 5). br>br>The gloves had a strong odor and needed to be aired for a few days outside my house. br>I tried out the digging glove in some dirt and sand, and it feels fine moving around in the soil. However, using the glove without the soil in a natural motion (moving my fingers to close flat along my palm) hurts my fingers a little because the digging part of the gloves knocks together and moves your fingers for you. As a result, please exercise caution when using these. The gloves are snug on my hands, and I am a woman with a medium build. hands of a certain size Overall, a good starter shear set, but the gloves are weirddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd.
It arrived in good condition and was well-protected in its case. br>So far, they appear to be working well for their intended purposes. feel just as solid as any other & In fact, it's more durable than others. The only way to find out is to wait. br>br>I was amused to discover that each of the tools included has a unique locking mechanism. However, everything is simple. br>br>However, the thumb lock on the big yellow pruning shears is not one of my favorites - AT ALL. It re-emerges if you grab it "backwards. " For the three of us who have used it, it has always been locked. It also slides into the locked position far too easily for my taste. My father was almost always accidentally locking it when he tried to cut it, even when he was holding it in an "upright" position. br>I'm not a fan of that pruner over-all so far. all. It's competent, but there's room for improvement. Perhaps in the garden, it will grow on me. the "lighter" pruning of fruit trees that are maintained on a regular basis like that, as if it was made for it. It might take some time to adjust. Regardless of its arduous nature, Expect it to only cut fibrous/hard woods with a diameter of 3/4 to an inch, according to the guy. If the wood is soft, it should be a little thicker. br>br>Sharpness is fine (for the time being). The blade's set angle, as well as the throat/hinge placement, appear to be the cutting limitations. so on. Allows you to cut a very thin branch with more power. But anything a tad thicker than that, it won't even try to reach an agreement - a complete halt It's disappointing because we need to use our pruners on a regular basis to deal with tough situations. branches that are "just a little bit more" in terms of brush/undergrowth cleanup for our little chipper, cleaning up less well-kept areas, etc. so on. For the most part, loppers are inconvenient. br>br>So far, no regrets - this entire set will be put to good use - But take it as a piece of advice that I'll have to follow. purchase a different pair designed for "heavier duty" wood that is a little thicker. My last favorite pruners went missing, and I'm really missing them. br>br>The bypass pruners in this set performed better in the brush prep workout, but they're also designed for "lighter duty. " Because they're already a hit with my husband, I didn't get to try them out much. who chose them over two other options over and over again (which means they'll be lost as soon as I get attached to them). br>br>A rubberized utility glove was included in our set as a bonus. Large plastic mole claws are attached to the fingers of the right hand. I laughed out loud because it looks like it belongs in a monster costume. I can see how this could be useful - maybe - If only the claws were a little shorter, but they're ridiculously long! Lol.
That's a fantastic offer! The tools are kept in a sturdy case with a zipper. I'd recommend rubbing a little oil on the zipper to ensure that it zips smoothly even if it's being used for a dirty job. We discovered that the zipper stuck a little after use, but a little oil wiped on the zipper fixed it perfectly. Our seasons seem to change by the day, so a little oil on most things in the middle of the year seems to be a good idea. West can be of great assistance. br>Every tool she requires to visit the garden on a daily basis is contained in a single attractive case. If the Wife is pruning, harvesting, weeding, or doing all of the above, she takes one case with her. We are pleased with our purchase and intend to purchase another set. br>The packaging and delivery were exactly as promised. Thank you very much.
