You can let go of the safety button once you've pressed both the safety and power buttons. Then, as long as the cutting action isn't interrupted, all you have to do is keep pressing the power button. My hands are smaller because I am a woman. It does the trick for me! I've never had a better hand clipper than this one. Despite all of the obnoxious safety hoops that one must jump through these days, I enjoy it.
On Gardena's website, the voltage is listed as 3. 6 V, 1. 45Ah. Husqvarna purchased them from a German company.
If you left it on charge all night and it still doesn't charge, the battery may need to be replaced.
I'd never heard of liriope before, but it easily cut through thick clumps of grass along a brick pathway. Also, it's extremely quick.

Because the Gardena grass shear is so light, it's a breeze to maneuver through the grass. It does, however, have a number of "lightweight" flaws: The shear stalls if the blades come into contact with a wooden stalk that is longer than 1/16". The charger cable has a small connector with an important but nearly invisible ridge that is more akin to that of a camera than a power tool. It's even more difficult to get it in because it's hidden beneath the handle. The safety switch on top of the handle is a common annoyance and is difficult to operate. The battery status indicator light is too dim to be visible in daylight on my unit at least; In addition, it does not change color as it should. A full charge takes six hours, which is inconvenient given that the shear is supposed to be disconnected once the charge is finished - Isn't there a way to have an automatic shutoff built in? br> Despite these flaws, the shear is usable, but the cost is too high with them.
I rarely write reviews, and when I do, they are almost always positive. However, I am extremely dissatisfied with myself for purchasing this product. At first, I was completely enamored with it. It was a brand-new toy that I had purchased. However, I discovered that I couldn't charge the battery unless I used an extension cord to plug the shear's power cord into. That one is a definite no-no. I tried every outlet in the house before trying the extension cord, which died after two weeks. The blade had completely ceased to function. I looked up the cost of a replacement shear and was taken aback by the cost (and I'm not sure if replacing the blade would have fixed the problem anyway). I decided to write this review now because I recently purchased a Ryobi trimmer and it is incredible! It includes the batter as well as two blades (a grass trimmer and a bush trimmer). I've had no problems with it and purchased it from Home Depot because I know I can return or exchange it if I have a problem. Make sure you don't throw your money away. You'll like it right out of the box, but you'll hate it in two weeks to a month. That's my take on it, based on a bad experience.
I got my Gardena 8885- Today, you can get 3 inch cordless lithium shears from U. Last year, I had a much less expensive model that worked fine except for the dull blades. This new one lasts 45 minutes on a single charge. or more. It trims with ease and has a razor-sharp blade. I adore it and am constantly on the lookout for ways to make it better. br> I'll be able to trim in half the time it took me with the previous ones. A two-year warranty is included as well.
It was a gift for my wife, and she enjoys it. However, one of the plastic gears has developed a problem after three months. I cleaned and oiled it, but it still spins its gears now and then. After three months, the return and product assistance windows are closed. All I can do now is try to locate some replacement components. br>Update: In the United States, the stripped gear is no longer available. The part will not be shipped to the United States by any of the service centers. It can't be found! If you don't have the part, you won't be able to fix it, so don't buy it!.
To begin, I purchased a Sun Joe Hedger for trimming and promptly returned it. It appeared to be a toy. br>br>After re-reading the reviews, I decided that spending more for higher quality was necessary. br>br>I had never heard of this brand before, but it is fantastic. It's a good cutter and it's also a good handler. and this is extremely significant. When you start clipping, you press that annoying safety button (which is now found on all clippers), then you can let go and the thing keeps going! I'm a woman with small hands, so I can't hold down both the safety switch and the working button at the same time, but that's only until you let go of the switch, at which point it stops. br>br>I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to others. It's even being used by my husband. That's a big deal in this town!.
It's a little pricey for what you get, but I used it to cut the grass next to our garage and it worked great. The blades, on the other hand, come to a complete stop if they encounter any resistance. This is probably a safety feature, but if you have sticks in your area, make sure you remove them first!.
This is an excellent product, and the best grass clippers I've ever used. I'll admit that I cheated nature a little. When I first got the blades, I sprayed them with "Liquid Film. " I didn't think the lubricant would harm the metal blades because it was so humid here. Every week, I've used them to trim for about an hour, and they're always ready to go when I am. It is recommended that you charge your device for at least an hour before using it.
able to be replaced The Gardena 8885 cuts well, but expect to use it for a few years. When the battery loses its ability to hold a charge, it must be discarded. It is not possible to replace the battery, which is costly. I would not recommend this property to any potential buyers in the future. For the amount of time you get to use the device, it is quite expensive.
