Because of a neck injury, I have a weak grip and cramped hands, but I've been able to use these with ease. There isn't much chopping involved. It's very simple, and the swivel feature eliminates the need for me to contort my hand.
NO> Cutting landscape paper would be cumbersome and difficult. It was created solely for the purpose of mowing the grass.
THE 14TH OF JUNE, 2018 I AM NOT A LEFTIE, AND THESE APPEAR TO BE FOR LEFTIES, UNLESS THERE IS A WAY TO COMPLETELY TURN THE BLADE AROUND SO I CAN USE IT WITH MY RIGHT HAND?
The blades do not need to be removed for cleaning or sharpening. Without dismantling the blades, this is possible. It may end up being ruined. br>br>In case you didn't know, If you use shear on wet trees, grass, or bushes (and this is the blade that rotates), you'll need to lubricate it afterward. Alternatively, wait until the next time you'll be using it. You will have a difficult time rotating blades if you do not do so. I used the oil sheen for hair that I had on hand.

These arrived this evening after I ordered them this morning. I've already put them to the test, and I was pleasantly surprised by how useful the 360° turn is. I wanted to use these to trim the tops of my grass (where the trimmer couldn't reach - I used it to edge a small patch of grass near my back porch (under the gutters) and to edge a small patch of grass under the gutters. They're fantastic, and I'm hoping they'll last a long time. After some use, I'll update it. br>br>With my hard-earned money, I purchased these. I rely on reviews when making purchases, so I'm just doing my part, and I'd appreciate it if you could let me know if you found my review useful.
br>br>I bought it on Amazon with the hope of removing overgrown weeds from my chain link fence before the city fined me. What I didn't expect was to find a friend, a confidante, someone who truly "gets" me and knows what I need. Don't get me wrong: I'm a big fan of bbr>br>br>br>br>br>br>b I used to use a chemical weed killer, but it was a toxic relationship, and it didn't care for my dog. I switched to an electric trimmer, but it left me exhausted and required far too much energy to keep up with. br>br>Fiskars 92146964J Swivel Soft Touch Grass Shear is strong but delicate, interested in gardening and horticulture, concerned about the environment, opposed to fossil fuels, a practicing vegan, and passionate about agricultural management and ecology. Asking the Fiskars 92146964J Swivel Soft Touch Grass Shear to saw through wood or sticks is not a good idea. Deforestation merely adds to the problem of global warming. However, when it comes to invasive weeds or grass, it gets right to the point! br>br>Oh, how we laughed that magical first evening together while cleaning up the fence line, walking around the garden, destroying a plot of dandelions, and reciting beat poetry to each other. A razor-sharp intellect with a razor-sharp wit, cutting to the bone of every subject! Okay, a little edgy, but never a dull moment! And, let's face it, that slim figure and gentle touch? It's absolutely devastating. I'm really looking forward to the future with you. br>Look no further if you're looking for a grass shear with some wokeness, or even just to keep the weeds at bay! The Fiskars 92146964J Swivel Soft Touch Grass Shear comes with everything you need to get started.
I put the clippers to work right away after receiving them. They have a flaw in their design that can be corrected. The problem is that the manual lock automatically locks after every clip. They're extremely inconvenient, and until they're fixed, they're effectively useless. The solution is to snap, break, and remove the thumblock with a tool like a screwdriver. Because it's made of plastic, it's pretty straightforward. They can now be used, but they will never close again. It's not a big deal; at the very least, they'll get the job done now. It would be beneficial for the company to redesign these so that the customer can use them as intended.
When the package arrived on time, I tried the shears right away. As a number of other reviewers have pointed out- The blades are not properly opening and closing. Manually holding lower blade down so upper blade could slide over top was required to physically close blades. I was annoyed that I didn't listen to previous reviewers, but because it was an Amazon Choice product, I decided to take a chance. I've always believed that customer reviews are accurate. helpful. In the future, I'll pay more attention to negative reviews. If you need grass shearers, this product has a lot of flaws in terms of quality control. GO SEARCHING FOR ANOTHER PRODUCT!.
I bought these to trim St. Augustine Palmetto in areas where my trimmer couldn't reach. They're perfect for it. The St. Augustine Palmetto is a thick grass, and I quickly discovered after planting that some of my old lawn equipment wasn't up to the task of keeping the grass trimmed neatly. br>br>The only issue I have with these shears is that they are not safe to use. The locking mechanism that should keep the shears closed isn't fully functional. The shears are kept slightly open by the locking position, just enough to catch a finger.
I couldn't wait to get outside and whack the d*mn Bermuda grass in my flower bed with these when they arrived. The lawn is separated from the foundation plantings by a low stone wall. The grass is all over the place. Weeding, spraying, and mulching are all things that can be done to get rid of weeds It is a never-ending fight. Fiskars Sheer Ease Grass Shears are an additional tool in the toolbox. It's difficult to cut this grass. My electric grass shears aren't nearly as good as these Fiskars! I can pick up a large handful of grass in one hand, cut through it at ground level, and toss it aside (it makes good chicken bedding). Even though I'm a small person, these grass shears still fit in my hand and allow me to cut through this tough grass with ease. I also keep Fiskers pruners on hand in case I come across any weeds. br>br>I can't work for too long because I have a bad back and knee, but getting out there and working on a section at a time is simple! The next step will be to mulch with sheets of cardboard.
Please see the following update. br>I haven't tried it yet, but the PLUSSSS does. The blade is moving back and forth. The only way it could go wrong is if it isn't sharp enough. Will see. Only if the blade is unable to cut through butter will it be updated. br>br>Leighbr>br>Leighbr>br>Leighbr>br>Leighbr>br>Leighbr>br>Leighbr>br> So, I tried the product this morning, and it's the best shear I've ever used. The fact that the blade rotates, and that I finished my work with no blisters. It's a joy to work with it. I use my shears as a grass trimmer and edger. I've never completed my work in such a short amount of time. It's simple to use, easy on the hands, and light. My only concern is when it will become boring! This one will be treated with respect and affection. It must be able to withstand the test of time. br>br>Leigh br>Leigh br>Leigh br>Leigh b.
For a more secure grip, the lower handle piece could be coated with a nonslip (rubberized) coating. However, I solved the problem by wrapping it in friction tape.
