This product was used to clear the gutters of leaves that had partially rotted, making for a heavy and wet mess. Even when the bags were filled by almost a third and left for almost 5 days before garbage day, they remained in good condition. The bags were strong because of the coating on the inside, and they held up to what was inside and a few rainstorms before removal. I would definitely purchase these.
Honestly, I've never used these types of paper bags for leaves or lawns. Still, I was able to use them very well for my needs. You'll need dry leaves to fill it up! Most folks will use these bags for their yard waste pick-up (to take to the curb), but I will store them in the garage with leaves inside. In our chicken coop, I will use the leaves to add to the deep litter for the winter. Even though these bags are made of paper, they seem pretty sturdy and I expect they will do In the unlikely event that the leaves are dry enough, the bags should not get moldy, so I can use them for the following season. The review will be updated in the middle of the week, if I remember 2014 was a year of change.
When I went to BJ's, I realized the cost was $8 for 25 bags, so I thought this was a reasonable price. These prices are similar to those at other stores. That was a mistake I won't repeat. The bags were okay and I wasn't pushed into buying it, but the price is out of line. I will not give it one star since there was nothing wrong with it, but they need to do something about the ridiculous price.
A little sash is tied around the middle to add to the feminine look of the bag. It has two layers that are glued together at the seams. So I didn't have to have my costume branded with the "True Value", I used the inner bag. I was pretty amazed at its tenacity! The party lasted until the end of the night, after people danced a lot, sat in it, and hugged each other. Then, when it started tearing, I tore it off and threw it into the bonfire and it burned well. It's a good product and I would buy it.
In this case, the bag works well. Unfortunately, two out of the three bundles I received had one bag in the bottom (which I believe was the very bottom bag) that had been assembled improperly resulting in a square hole at the bottom about 1. 25 inches in diameter. These bags are no different from the large brown paper bags you'd buy from Home Depot or Lowes, but these bags are significantly more expensive. It is not worthwhile to pay more for that.
My bag was intended to be used for my gardening, but the flap at the bottom was not properly glued, so there was a huge hole at the bottom. It's not very useful if you live like me and have to haul your yard clippings all the way from your living area to your compost pile. This is disappointing.
