There are a few suggestions I have for people who are DIYing. I used a couple of these kits for installing pergola shade sails on my courtyard. The hardware is of good quality and should last a long time. In the beginning, using an anti-virus program is a really good idea The threads of the turnbuckle are coated with anti-seize compound. The move will prevent a condition known as galling, in which dry threads may lock up tight and render the turnbuckle inoperable.
