If you are not sure what you need, I would send it back and order what you It's terrible how things work on hooks. Whenever it's windy, my birds twist off and fly across the yard. So, I went to my local hardware store and bought carabiner hooks for them.
Whenever you attach a sail to a motor home you will need to be very careful. There are a few suggestions I have for people who are DIYing. I used a couple of these kits for installing pergola shade sails on my courtyard. The hardware is of good quality and should last a long time. The first thing you should do is use anti-virus software The threads of the turnbuckle are coated with anti-seize compound. The move will prevent a condition known as galling, in which dry threads may lock up tight and render the turnbuckle inoperable. A wide range of antibacterial products are available You will find online anti-seize materials (similar to automotive grease) on Amazon such as Permatex, Loctite and CRC. In addition, one of my turnbuckles came loose by itself one windy night, and my wife was hit by the turnbuckle pieces that came loose when she went outside early the next morning. It wasn't my fault, and we both laughed at the odds that the turnbuckle would come loose at such a critical moment. Use 8mm stainless steel nuts from Home Depot or Lowe's, add a lock nut, and you're all set. Use lock nuts if you're not sure. Put the washers on the side marked "R" (this stands for the component that is right-handed). You can adjust the shade sail tension to your liking, then tighten the lock nuts against the turnbuckle frame to ensure the shade sail won't unwind again by itself. Although the turnbuckle frame of the shade sail kit is slightly bent, I was nonetheless satisfied with the kit. Although this affected the basic mission and performance, it did not affect the overall success of the mission.

It's been 2 months since I bought it. I have had no problems so far, and my back patio is well shaded. The springs from Home Depot are installed, and the J-shafts have been beefed up The clamps in the other review were mentioned. We were able to handle the strong wind gusts. *Update - April 4 I have had it for nearly a year and a half now. Despite slight dip in the middle, it appears to be a great deal. I'm leaving you with one last picture. Water will freeze and fall when it rains and when it ices. There have been storms or high winds that led to me taking it down. A few times I left it up during a strong storm and was surprised that it held up.
It was just as described, and worked perfectly. The only point to note is that the screws provided tend to strip out quite easily. It is best to purchase some screws that are meant to go into wood if you wish to maintain your sanity. The thin and lightweight version isn't as strong and thick as the heavy duty version offered by the same brand/seller here on Amazon, but I haven't encountered any problems with them and so far, they are holding up quite well. Considering we live on top of a mountain, and we don't have any trees blocking the wind, we don't need trees. Since I have had them up for several months, they have served me well. This kit includes all the hardware you need for hanging. They are good and I'd buy them again if the need arose.
Fittings made from 304SS are of good quality. To prevent them from loosening, purchase jam nuts at the hardware store for a few cents and install them on one side of the turnbuckles.
