An end of the shade is attached to the carabiner by hooking it on the ends. In order to tighten the shade, you use the turnbuckles on the two other sides.
So when I got it because it is really windy in my area, I sized up with a 1/4 inch bigger. Mine was an 8'X6', with 1/4 inch going to 5/6. We installed it in less than a half hour with no problems. It was worth every penny I spent on it. I am really glad I purchased

While using oil and channel locks to free up a seized up turnbuckle, it failed and bent, rendering it immobile. In the end, I went out and bought a replacement, which made ordering this as a kit pointless. Instead of spending your money on this, you should go out to the local hardware store and buy a better quality product. The metal is feeble.
I was able to get my sail shades up with the closed end turnbuckles I bought, but the hardware was pricey. When the crazy winds that we have here in Florida blow, these open eyes will fly off. THERE IS NO VALUE IN THE PROJECT.
My recent purchase of sail shades came with two kits. The quality of hardware was good, but the screws were awful. Now that my shades are up, I replaced the screws with stainless steel ones I used to attach them.
Shade sails should be hung with good quality hardware. I appreciate the fact there are three turnsbuckles, but it would be nice to have three. Even though you don't really need three, adding a third turnbuckle will ensure you get shade sails that are perfectly tight and look nice. However, the kit otherwise works very well.

I ordered a set of sails for my yacht and was satisfied with the result. I also found the sail to be of good quality, 200GSM was thicker than my old sail. I really like how all the details come together!.
It's pretty. I love the sail. It keeps the sun off the pool, allowing the water to stay cooler and allowing family members to use the pool without being bothered by the sun's rays. I like the size and the ready-to-use nature of the product. Don't skimp on the measurements. During the windy season, the dies catch the wind and pull it along. We had to take it down because of high winds.
