Some kind of polyurethane or plastic. It does not, however, appear to be flimsy. When you need a table, this is a good one to have around.
When I put my 10 pound dumbells on it, it bends. But I sew on it and it works fine, so it can only hold a few light weight items at a time.
It has a subtle texture to it. It's a fantastic table that's both stable and attractive, and I highly recommend it!

The description states that the table is 3 feet long. When I was in school, 3 feet equaled 36 inches. Yes! I didn't read any further down the page because I was so excited about the deal. I guess 3 feet now equals 33. 66 inches in length. It's no surprise that our children are among the worst math students in the world. Advertisements that are false.
It has a slight rise in the middle and isn't completely flat.
I bought this card table to use as an activity table for my grandchildren. The size was ideal, and the tabletop was made of excellent material. When attempting to close the legs on one side, however, the legs on that side simply ripped away from the frame under very light pressure. The connector is extremely stiff, and the legs simply do not bend. As a result, the frame was torn off. Weld quality is poor, and the design is shoddy. Look for a different company. Because I used the table after the return period had ended, I was unable to receive a refund. If you decide to purchase it, give it a try right away!.
Carrying it down to my basement was a challenge. Overall, it performs admirably!.
It's a beautiful table that's also quite sturdy. I had to pound on the legs with a hammer to fully open and engage them, so I'm not sure how easy or difficult refolding them will be. However, I don't think I'll need to refold the legs because the table is already lightweight. I use it as a desk and eat solo meals at it because it's big enough to fit food, drinks, laptops, and notebooks without crowding or spilling.
