Is the cushion made of waterproof material?

Light spills appear to roll right off, but it does not appear to be able to withstand heavy rain or prolonged exposure to the elements. However, I bought the furniture last summer, and it has survived the New York winter admirably on our front porch. There is only a mesh screen on our porch. The cushions have remained full, and the fabric has not become stained or faded in color.

a small amount of effort- These ottomans are extremely well-made, and the cushion is quite nice; the only drawback is that the pillow simply sits on top, allowing Amy to blow them away

I purchased some bungies and sewed them to the pillow before attaching it to the base, which worked for me. I chose these over others that have a pillow attachment because they perfectly match my chairs. It appeared to be a set because of the metal color and the color of the pillows.
