Due to the fact that I leave it at full length, I cannot comment on the folding. There is a fold-out umbrella hole on the crossbars connecting both ends (that they showed in their photos when I bought it) - and they are about a foot higher than I expected. A big improvement in design The new photos in the ad do not show the bars since they show them raised. No longer are they at the level of the feet. It was a hole that wasn't planned Not a huge deal, but drilled, so a little extra effort. I have teak chairs with the table, and the table matches very well with the chairs. As it will be exposed to the Florida sun, I hope it holds up, but there's no harm in trying it out. Very pleased with this purchase, it seems like it's well worth the price.
In the end, I felt disappointed about this table after I was so excited about it. I found it exceptionally difficult to assemble this item although all items in the box were clearly labeled. Unfortunately, many of the pre-drilled holes were not cut through completely. There was no threading inside any of the holes that were cut through, so screws could not be caught in those holes.
