The purpose of this review is for someone who wants to modify or change the factory settings to suit their requirements. Over my old patio cover, now 4ft beyond my foundation, I built a leveled surface that was completely surrounded by my roof. I only have a foundation of 18ft x 8ft and my eave has already extended outwards and covered 4ft of that. There are many patio covers I looked at to see if I could modify them for what I need, but many of them are fixed configurations. There is no doubt in my mind (1) Have it level and over my roof (not angled downward as it is here in the factory) (2) have it extend 4ft from the foundation for better rain/shade coverage 3) reroute it to direct it along my roof-line I'd recommend that I 1) extend it to the same height as my columns, 2) build it on top of my existing columns, and 3) make it a breeze funnel.
