Questions & Answers

In what time frame will these nutrients be delivered by this media?

It is nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium that make up the bulk of soil nutrients. A pond will always be filled with water when the circulation of the water takes place. Hydrogen ions are captured by roots and root hairs and are pumped into the soil by the roots. Plants and a pot can contain and help exchange soil nutrients as long as they are in a pot and surrounded by a plant substrate. There are many components to the Ecosystem, but make sure there is water exchange between the soil and the pot and that you do not limit the plants' ability to get enough water. You can use fabric pots for a lot of things! A description of Pond Company processes

If this were in a 19" x 9" tub of water, how long should it take for the water to settle and become clear?

the dirt in the bottom and cover it completely with the fish rocks. Slowly add water so the water does not become Unless you give advanced notice, it is going to take about a week to clear and settle

Once the water is added, what can I do to keep it clean? Even after four days, the water still looks murky. ?

Adding two bags of this to my pond for my lilies was just a great idea. The instructions that they gave me are completely accurate. I have no idea where my fish are because the water in my pond is so murky. Water has been running into my pond for two days now in an attempt to clear it up, but that is not helping. How do you clean dirt and grime off of the bag? It doesn't say on the bag to do so. There are mud clots on the ground. We would appreciate any ideas you may have.

Would you mind telling me if you have any ?

There is no bag smaller than this. There are nine to twelve different types, with a weight range of 9 to 12 The Pond Company's dirt weighs 11 pounds and is 215 cubic inches.

I think it's expensive for what you get, but the shipping is really fast so it's According to the advertisement, the bag is supposed to weigh 10 pounds, but mine weighs eight pounds
4/5

Currently, I am able to repot only two plants in shallow pots of 6 inches. Despite the smaller amount than expected, shipping was fast, so that makes up for the lower amount. There are two options for those complaining that the soil caused their pond water to become cloudy You can prevent this from occurring if you spread a one inch layer of pea gravel on top of the soil after you have potted your pond plant. Pea gravel prevents the soil from floating out when the potted plant is put in To prep the soil before laying pea gravel on top, you can wet it with hose water. As a result, if you don't cover the pot with pea gravel, the fish will dig through it and the soil will go everywhere else except in the vessel. In addition to the fertilizer tablets being eaten by the fish, the pot needs to be lowered more to allow them to reach the bottom. I have far too many years of experience caring for ponds and losing soil to skip sharing this tip with you!.

You pond will look like a ditch with this color
3/5

In my opinion, this is a good product To replace a bag holding my water lilies in my pond, I need new bags. Following the instructions on the bag, I did as instructed. It started bleeding brown color from the dirt as soon as I dropped it in my pond. When I checked back in 5 hours later, my pond had turned It seemed to be settling down and we would be fine Boy was I wrong when I predicted the water would clear up by the next day. Upon waking the next morning (24 hours later) I couldn't see any of my fish and my pond was brown from dirt (see pic). I had to clean it out again for 4 days to get the water back to a clear hue again. A bag of dirt contained a mixture of brown dirt and white dirt The mud is clumped together. I didn't see any instructions on how to wash the dirt first, but what is the best way to wash dirt? You can also see in the pictures how the bag bled brown muck from the bottom after it was taken from my pond. Due to the heat and the hard work I had to do, I would never buy dirt like this.

I would not recommend buying it
3/5

There was a lotus seedling I wanted to transplant. My sole purpose in purchasing this soil was to use it that way. As I proceeded with caution, the water in the container turned a brown color, and a decidedly funky smell permeated it. In the end, I could have purchased a $3 bag of topsoil from any big box hardware store and had the same results. The soil I had leftover was in good condition. The lawn was sprinkled with it. When you plant lotus in grassy soil, you will also plant it in lotus soil. There was no way I would have paid the money I did for this.

I like how it works
5/5

Our pond was in need of a few marginal canna plants, and I added this to the plants. My plants are taking off and look great and they are thriving since I have added the plants to the mesh planters I ordered via Amazon, along with the dirt from the nursery pots, and this Aquascape Pond media. In spite of the fact that I thoroughly rinsed the media, some dirt and dust did persist in the pond near the planter after a few hours, but the dust settled quickly, and the pond and fish were no longer a problem.

Was it worth the money I paid? The large bag sounded the most appealing to me from the reviews
3/5

432 cubic inches are equal to 0 cubic feet. A 25 cubic foot container. This is a better option than buying the half the size bag, but still not a good one. There were clumps of dirt and clay on the ground The matter could be inorganic or organic, such as pieces of bark or wood. Despite my ability to excuse the wood matter, I was not able to They were not very many, but they were a bit longer than 1/2 inch. As others have said, make sure you rinse it out well after using. The dirt still seeps out even after 5 times of rinsing it. Even with cloth covering the holes, a small amount of dirt still gets into I should have purchased a layer of soil and a layer of planting media for the lilies. If I do that next time, I'll just cultivate the soil in my yard while using and purchasing.

Dwarf bowl lotus seed is used for growing the plant
4/5

Clay from this product is mainly clay as desired, which means it is not calcined or treated, making it the best clay for lotuses It will require breaking up clumps and removing a few tiny rocks and twigs if you are using it for bowl lotus. Plant your seedlings in a pot with water soaked for a day (or two). This will create mud that will hold water and produce seeds. Gloved hands are needed to break up clumps of clay so it becomes muddy and fully hydrated. On the Internet, you will find many videos explaining how to maintain Seedlings need to be planted in mud like you see in the video.

It was looking pretty bad for the plants in my pond
5/5

It was a risk I took, but I ended up buying it. It was looking pretty bad for the plants in my pond. Buying this media entailed a bit of a risk since it comes from a natural water bed. In just three days, my plants have grown in life and are looking amazing. I appreciate your work!.
