This 1/4" tubing works well as a substitute for black and brown poly drip tubing. We used it to create drip lines for our hanging baskets and porch pots by clipping it to our white eaves. This tubing is compatible with all standard 1/4" fittings.
There is no question that I can see. This white tubing works in the same way as any other 1/4" drip line, but it will blend in better around house trim because it is white or a lighter color. Any 1/4" tubing can be used in place of this.
Yes, it can be used in place of black poly 1/4" tubing, but white trim looks much better.
In reality, the OD (outside diameter) is 1/4" (0. NOT the ID (inner diameter) of 25"

If you wanted to connect this to fittings, you'd have to heat it up with a lighter, hot water, or something similar. br>I'm looking for fast flexible tubing, not this useless nonsense!.
I ordered this white 1/4 tubing so that I could finally install my dripper system and hang my baskets on my porch posts. I was surprised that this item is more of a thick plastic straw than the black tubing that I used for my system, which looks more like a rubber tire. It worked fine but was a little less flexible than I was used to, and it turned out that the barbs on the bubblers I added were a little wider than usual, so getting these items to fit together necessitated wearing gloves with rubber finger pads for traction and a lot of wiggling.
I got some stiff white tubing that wouldn't connect to any of the drip irrigation parts. This is a product that I would not purchase. It's stiff and inflexible. It comes in a 50-foot shrink-wrapped coil. What a letdown!.
This picture's packaging (round cardboard roll) is of the old flexible vinyl variety - The kind that you could easily wrap around your finger and seal around drippers and junctions. br>br>What arrived is a stiff material that pops the holders off the house as it goes around a corner. Only if it is hot enough for me to become somewhat flexible can I put this up. Last year, that was right around the time when the temperatures reached 100 degrees, and I don't want to be out in those conditions. You can also soften it by placing it in the microwave or oven, but I shouldn't have to nuke pipe to bend it around corners and into planters. br>br>I'll give it two stars just because it accomplishes half of its goals - Transporting water from point A to point B is a challenging task. I had to use kitchen appliances and a lighter to get it to behave and make a good seal, so it gets three stars. The randrip and rainbird fittings easily fit into it, but if you don't take the time to seal them and it gets hot, they leak.
Some of the 15 rolls we received were of the flexible, decent quality I had hoped for, but the majority were clear tubing with a white coating. They weren't made of the same material as the drip fittings, and they were nearly impossible to install. It didn't appear to be a shipping error, but rather that the company had exhausted their inventory and had switched to lower-quality materials.
This tubing appeals to me because it is thick and stiff. This isn't the flimsy tubing you might be thinking of. To access two matching planters in front of my garage, I ran the tubing all the way around it with the white 1/4 in cable holders. This purchase has exceeded my expectations!.
It was nothing more than a coil of tubing in a plastic bag. So, if you're looking for the genuine Raindrip brand, you might want to look elsewhere.
It is only available in black in most cases. It's exactly what I needed in white, and it's a fantastic deal. Black colored tubing is superior to that found in big box stores. It's solidly constructed and long-lasting. This is an excellent purchase!.
