However, the instructions need to be adjusted. I had no problems with the product and it fitted perfectly with my lawnmower. It is only possible to watch online videos there are no written instructions. A sticker on the part directs people to an incorrect website for watching the videos. Yet you can find those on YouTube. I don't think watching videos in a garage setting would be very convenient and written instructions would have been more It's not a major obstacle to overcome if you are even remotely mechanically inclined. That being said, taking out the old PTO was by far the most difficult part of the project. Putting on the new part (Extreme's PTO) was a breeze. Now that I have upgraded to the new mower, it cuts better than ever.
I am using this switch, it works exactly as described in the description, it turns on the blades properly.

Basically, the old switch burned out because the pto clutch was drawing so much current (it had less than one ohm on the clutch, when it should have been closer to four The clutch and this switch have been replaced, and everything now works fine.
The new converter solved the problem on my Troy bilt. It connected right to the old pigtail with no issues with the switch.
Wear parts can be replaced with this replacement A switch that lets us out. The old one was much more difficult to remove than the new one to install.
