Questions & Answers

In addition to tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, and other vegetables, I also grow some flowers. Do you think bone meal or blood meal would be better to use?

There is no difference between the two. Providing nitrogen to plants is one of the benefits of blood meal. A bone meal is a source of calcium and phosphorus. Plants have multiple developmental stages, each of which plays a unique role in its growth and development.

Do you think you can start a few seeds with something from the brick?

In fact, yes. It works great by adding one ounce of "brick" to eight ounces of water. There will be about 1 quart (volume) of ready-to-use seed starter after the process. The same question popped into my head as well. I used my kitchen scale and I got This is approximately 5 quarts. You can determine the ratio by pouring water into a bowl.

Other than bone meal, do the supplements contain any other ingredients?

I'm Lisa, and I'm happy to inform you that this Calcium and phosphorus are great nutrients found in this food. I wish you a successful gardening season! The following is an excerpt from my biography Burger & fries

This product can be used to maintain a lawn, right?

My name is Blood Meal can be used to fertilize lawns, but it wouldn't be preferred as a first choice for lawns. Considering how small this bag is, you would need a large amount to cover a lawn. My sincerest hope is that this helps. Burpee

There are cockroaches! Amazon was the source of my purchase
3/5

My beds are covered with it. We then experienced an infestation of cockroaches two weeks later. Anger is the only emotion I feel. As a result, I had to clear the entire garden and have Parkin do the work. The next time I order something from Amazon, I won't order anything like this.

The stuff I am using for growing micro greens does not Garden Coir is the product I prefer to buy over
5/5

The blocks are ready to use, and unlike blocks that have to be broken up, the product is fluffy and ready to use. The micro greens I grow in it are my primary use. It works well to germinate seeds as the moisture retention allows seeds to retain moisture, and its light, airy texture promotes healthy roots. You may think it is a small bag, but when you add water you will be surprised how much it grows.
In my opinion, the greatest benefit of this growing medium is that it does not promote microbial growth. Additionally, it helps to maintain moisture, it is easy to hydrate, and it Micro greens are being grown in this Garden Coir. The coconut coir is covered in germination paper to prevent it from falling through the openings in the tray, then I sprinkle the seeds on top of the coconut coir and cover for a couple of days until they In order to encourage the seeds to grow, I put a nutrient solution in the bottom of the tray, and then mist the plants as they grow. In the second picture, you can see that the roots of the plants have grown through the Garden Coir and germination paper to reach the nutrient solution beneath. The micro greens will be ready when they reach 3" I harvest the tops every 4 to 6 weeks for salads, soups, etc. and they continue to grow to be harvested in the future. The following update was posted on August 14, 2019 The last picture was taken three weeks after the first picture was taken. In the past several weeks, I have harvested these micro greens multiple times for addition to three salads each time, and the greens are still not done A little bit over an inch can be found in My results from using this growing medium could not have been better. I have updated the 8/08/20 update as follows Growing a few veggies and herbs in my basement under lights is a hobby of mine, and I sometimes take root cuttings from my plants to grow new plants for myself and my Rooting the cuttings with FoxFarm potting soil and rooting hormone before was what I used. Fortunately, this has been working very well, but I recently decided to try rooting four rosemary cuttings - I hope this will work even better. Garden Coir medium was used in two applications in place of potting soil in two other applications. The rooting hormone I used for all of them is the same. I observed roots growing at the bottom of the pots when I planted the cuttings in the Garden Coir almost two weeks earlier than I did in This may be because Garden coir drains more efficiently and stays moist (not wet) for a longer period of time than potting soil. My goal with this review was to help you in some way. In the event that my opinion changes or when I learn more about its usage, I will update the review.

Clean Coir is an excellent As an organic component of my soft succulent medium mix, I like to use coir
4/5

It is usual for me to purchase bricks & mortar Although they can be rebuilt, brick coir's quality cannot be relied upon. I have always found this coir to be clean, sweet smelling, and without any odor This product has been rated and seems chemical-free AZ bricks are free (unlike many bricks sold on AZ) which makes them worth a higher price for me when I want to mix.

The soil around hydrangea plants is amended with this
5/5

I noticed my hydrangea did not bloom for three years following an exceptionally cold and snowy winter several years ago. The plant had failed for two years, so this spring I added Bone Meal to the soil to give it one more chance. My hydrangeas are blooming yet again!.

Tomatoes are excellent from this plant
5/5

Tomatoes are excellent from this plant. It seems so at least based on what I know about bone meal. We will see how this brand will perform when tomatoes begin to grow in July. Despite this, my dogs also love digging in my plants, so be on the lookout for digging attempts. All the way around the plants, we had to place barriers. Here's the latest This year, we had a great crop of heirloom tomatoes. There is only one plant that has been lost so far. Our blossom end rot problem has completely disappeared with bone meal, and our tomatoes are delicious now!.

You have done a great job
5/5

The material is light and doesn't mold easily. Most of the potting soil I have bought rots inside the bag as soon as I store it. There's nothing better than a soft texture and warm brown color when it comes to this stuff. I love the fact that it is lightweight and is able to let water go right through for pickier plants like sand, but still absorbs some like dirt. I will now stick with this potting soil only. There is no indication if larger sizes are available. Although this bag will fill up a pretty decently sized pot on its own, it can still hold a pretty decently sized plant.

Item was overpriced at the time of purchase, but it was a good product
4/5

This item was returned because it was priced at three times what the local store charged. I returned my items quickly and easily. There is something incredible in this mixture of perlite and earthworm.

For potting mixes, this is a great base
5/5

The coir I am using is amazing. My normal source of coir bricks is to stretch them, but this is pre-sliced. I use it to start my veggie seedlings, my succulent mix, and my tropical indoor plants in addition to using it as a base for my succulent mix. As a good starting point, it is a clean, light formula that can be easily amended for specific types of plants, or even plants with specific needs. The seller should continue to sell it at the $4 price forever.
