Questions & Answers

Some of the color names do not match the names on the posca website, for example, khaki green is only available in the 3m range, not the 5m range. why?

There are two possible answers, but the first is that this set for sale is the Japanese set. They 1) have different names for some of their colors, and 2) the western distributor of posca pens has additional colors available. Here are a few examples of the distinctions: br>br>Names that are different:

According to the official Posca website, the full 5m set contains 42 colors. Which 13 aren't included in this list?

If that's of any help, I can tell you which ones you get. The standard set of 15 is included, as well as a pastel set of seven in gold, silver, navy blue, dark red, fuschia, and khaki green. The neon colors, as well as the rest of the metallics, are likely to be missing.

Can anyone explain why I'd use these instead of just a paintbrush and some paint?

This is what I've learned from my own experience: Paint brushes work well for people who are already artistic! They are capable of doing so because they have the artist's hand. They also employ the use of paint pens. brush and paint I tried painting with a brush, but I can barely draw stick figures, so I wasn't very good at it, but I admit I didn't practice. I can now use paint markers more effectively, though not as well as I once could. I hope you find this information useful:

What is the best set to buy if you want to get all of the colors in a medium tip?

Markers with a lot of color
5/5

Perfection in every way! The colors are beautiful, and the quality is excellent. They are vibrant and accurate. When I first started my project, I was concerned about color visibility in layers, but everything turned out to be so vibrant and perfect; there are always concerns about opacity when using bright colors like yellow and orange, but these are so solid that I couldn't believe it. I'll definitely keep using this brand, and when these run out, I'll gladly purchase another set!.

A set of 29 was ordered, but only 22 were delivered
3/5

These paint pens have yet to be used by me. Once my order has been corrected, I may revise my review. I ordered a set of 29 marker pens and received two boxes: one with 15 pens and the other with seven. There aren't 29 pens in total.

Meh
3/5

Paint markers that are way too expensive. I'm an acrylic painter, and I've seen a lot of my peers brag about Posca pens on social media. I decided to try them out, and they turned out to be a success. They're a little underwhelming. luster. I've used acrylic paint pens that cost a fraction of the price and perform just as well. The lighter colors aren't very opaque, but the darker colors have a lot of opacity. It's a good color scheme. When compared to the price of individual pens, the value of this set is excellent. However, you would be better off doing more research and purchasing a different acrylic pen set or just regular acrylic paint. br>br>Also, I've heard that using these on paper (even heavy-duty paper) can be problematic. watercolor paper (heavy weight) To avoid pilling, apply a layer of white acrylic/house paint to the paper first, then use the pens on top.

These paint pens are fantastic, and I would highly recommend them
5/5

They're the best paint pens I've ever used as a professional artist. Yes, they are pricey, but buying each one separately would be more expensive than the value pack, so this is the best deal. I received them in two weeks and received each color only once. The color matches the cap color and is very opaque. I'm definitely going to buy some more! br>br>In case you didn't know, You must shake and push the pen tip down a couple of times to activate the pens. When doing this, be careful not to overdo it because the paint will drip out if you do it too much. I usually give the pens a 15-second shake before pushing them down two times. 3 times. Continue to push until the paint comes out.

Smooth and simple to use All of the markers must be "broken in" when you first get them - After shaking them, press down on the tip several times until the paint soaks in
5/5

It will take some time to break in all of them for the first time, but persevere! In the end, it'll be well worth it! br>br>These markers have a very smooth color laydown! They're quick to dry and layer, and they're a breeze to work with. Metallics have a lot of gleam - I was blown away by what I saw! The paint may begin to clump or dry lumpy if you go over an area with the marker too much, but this isn't noticeable on large pieces. br>br>Overall, I'm a big fan of these and would highly recommend them! The images I've included show some of the things I've been able to do with them so far. It takes a little getting used to, but they're a lot of fun!.

Some of the pens had run out of ink
3/5

Posca pens are something I've worked with in the past. I know you have to shake them a lot to get the paint to activate, and you have to pump them a lot to get the paint to activate. However, some of these pens had little to no paint on them. I shook the pens for a solid four minutes. I pumped them for 5 minutes to get the paint to flow, but there was very little paint. Is it possible that the nib is defective? So I cleaned it by submerging it in water. It was of no use. The cost of these pens is far too high for them to arrive empty. I think I got new nibs on used pens. They weren't even packaged in posca pen packaging; they were simply wrapped. This is by far the most unpleasant posca encounter I've ever had.

If you're into rock painting, you'll want to get your hands on these
5/5

These markers are a must-have for anyone who enjoys rock painting. They're easy to work with and quick to dry. These have been in my possession for quite some time and have yet to run out of paint. My four-year-old uses them with me because the colors are so vibrant. It's a lot easier to do this than it is to get paint out and clean brushes.
