Is this motor completely silent when it's in operation?

Although "completely" is a subjective term, this type of motor is as quiet as they come. The motor is not audible in a normal environment at a standard distance.

It specifies that the rotation is in the clockwise direction. I assume you mean "clockwise," but from which side are you looking?

When viewing the shaft, it rotates clockwise. This motor should not be used for anything other than the intended application, which is Lathem mechanical clocks and time stamps.

My time clock is a Lathem 4001 model. It is in desperate need of a replacement motor. Is this motor compatible with this particular model?
