There is so much to be concerned about! This is the first order that I have received and I am The clear tape I put on my refueling is not the same. There is an actual difference between this and the other. This is much thinner and sticks to itself, and it is so thin that you have a hard time finding where you have to peel the end back of it in order to get it to work. Here is another example of going cheap in America and it is not fun. You Scotch should be ashamed of yourself. We'll pay for the increased costs if you keep the quality high, but don't compromise the quality of the product!.
I have tried many brands of clear, transparent tape, and none of them are comparable to the Scotch brand! Compared to other brands, many of the other brands I have tried don't cut cleanly, but frequently tear irregularly Although cheaper brands are available, I don't think this is a more reliable brand. This is clear, however it is thinner than it should be. The material is not easily damaged. In most cases just bends around any blade but the sharpest. Wouldn't it be great if Scotch produced only one tape type. Using their clear tape is as easy as it seems. It could be described in a completely different way, such as economics versus performance levels.
There are no savings to be made. As well as Scotch Brand, they have ruined it! It IS NOT what you'd expect for a name brand product. The stickiness is very light, and it barely holds together much. You can go to Staples and buy the real stuff. The inconvenience is not worth the few dollars you'll save.

There are so many uses for this tape. For my watercolor paintings, I keep it in a dispenser in my art studio, and use it on my watercolor paper to keep the white edges from bleeding. I have found it to be better than any other tape I have tried so far, and it comes off the watercolor paper more smoothly than masking tape or artist's tape.
