Questions & Answers

Is it possible to - Whether it's made of plastic or metal, Is it possible to remove labels from hard plastic (such as a trash can) using this method?

I discovered that slightly heating the label before peeling it off makes it even easier; otherwise, it may scratch the plastic. I like it when I use it on plastic, and I have both the plastic and metal Scotty Peelers, which I find to be very useful.

I'm looking for a product that will remove the barcode labels from library books so they can be reused. Is it possible to get rid of them without causing damage?

These, as well as the plastic scrapers, are used on books with the product Un- Du - It works wonders for removing adhesive without causing damage to the book! I was a little worried at first, but it's completely safe and doesn't leave any residue on paper.

Has anyone tried sharpening the edges?

Sharpening is something I have never attempted.

Will this work on Amazon boxes that have packing tape on them?

It's what I use to get rid of stickers from hardback book covers. books that are available in paperback These materials are a little "harder" than cardboard, so if you dig into it, you'll be fighting the cardboard as well as the tape. It was only recently that I gave it a shot. I used the peeler to get the plastic tape started, and then I had to pull it up by hand. Then go after another corner until you've removed all of the plastic tape. Because the Amazon "paper" tape is recyclable, I don't bother removing it. I just tried it on a small Amazon box, and it worked, but some of the box was removed. Some are extremely bad, while others are only marginally so.

It was excellent, but it had the potential to be even better
4/5

Occasionally, a small scraper is required for small detail work such as scraping labels or cleaning up painted surfaces. br>br>These would have been ideal if there had been one flaw: The manufacturer did not spend the 15 seconds it would have taken to deburr the opposite side of the scraper blade when grinding the edges on. As a result, scraping a softer material such as a wood or laminate counter top will leave very fine gouges in the surface. br>br>This isn't good enough. Especially since 15 seconds on a fine abrasive stone is all it takes to remove the burrs. This, however, should not be necessary. They're good scrapers. br>br> It's just that they aren't quite done.

Easy
4/5

Using your fingers to remove stickers can be a pain. I was a little skeptical because I wasn't sure how effective this peeler would be, but it surprised me by working perfectly; if you want better results, heat the sticker first and then peel, but either way works. This also comes in handy when opening boxes; the peeler's sides are sharp, so you can use it as a small knife to cut the tape away. The only time it gets a little tricky is when you have to remove the glue from the peeler after each use; aside from that, if you have trouble opening boxes and peeling off stickers, this is a must-have.

The Coolest Gadget of All Time! Scotty is a character I have never heard of
5/5

But I can tell you that Scotty's Peeler, his namesake tool, is one of the best little tools I've ever used. Because it works so well, I ordered multiples of this gem! Just about any type of sticker, label, price tag, etc. can be removed quickly, easily, and without causing damage with this Peeler. Scotty will destroy all of those 'easy to remove' labels that aren't so easy. Every time he works, he does a fantastic job. Caution No. Because the blades on this Scotty Peeler are razor sharp, use caution and the blade cover that comes with it. If you're handy with tools, you can hone the edge of this peeler using a regular knife sharpener. No. 1 Caution You'll get a sticker if you work slowly and carefully. Allow the tool to do the work for you. You might end up with a torn sticker and a gouged surface if you try to force it. It will be rewarded if you take it slowly and steadily. Try it out and see what happens!.

It's fantastic for merchandising
5/5

Retail merchandising and resets are two of my specialties. These are great for removing tags, plastic chips, and shelf stripping. If you don't need it to be razor sharp, you could get the generic version with the orange handle instead. Keeping them sharp can be useful for scraping off really stuck on or old labels (use it as a scraper) and breaking tape on boxes, but too much cardboard cutting will clog the blade, forcing you to be extra cautious around it. br>br>I prefer these to the plastic ones because they have a wider range of applications. With a little practice, you'll be ripping tags off like a pro, and this thing will feel like an extension of your hand; it's far more efficient than using your fingernails, and it makes my job a lot easier.

To avoid chipping or breaking your nails, this is the perfect solution
5/5

This is fantastic!! I was sick of chipping my nail polish or breaking my nails at work because I had to constantly peel off labels. I had no idea a tiny blade like this existed. This product has saved my nails, and all of my coworkers love it! They also have a clear cover so you won't get cut if you reach for it in a drawer.

It's fantastic! This is a fantastic solution
5/5

But be careful, it's a razor-sharp object! Getting my finger out of the protective sleeve resulted in a cut on my finger. I wasn't concentrating on what I was doing. You do, however, want it to be razor-sharp. as a result of which it is able to peel the labels This it excels at. I discovered that if I use a low-heat hair dryer to warm up the label, then use the Scotty Peeler, the label will peel right off. The tag is removed!.

It's a cinch to use
5/5

It's simple to use and removes any type of label. Everyone wants to know where I got my label peeler because I use it at work, in a retail store. It has very sharp edges, so it works well, but keep it out of the reach of children.

It's changed my life! I'm not sure how I went so long without knowing about these
5/5

I buy and sell a lot, so getting packages delivered is something I do on a daily basis. I used to despise peeling off old stickers and attempting to melt the glue off with a hair dryer while slowly peeling them off. The Scotty Peeler digs deep beneath the labels, making it much easier to remove them.
