It is true that I purchased them to use in my Sewline pen &amp ink I use them!
Patches should be placed more accurately with the use of this product, since it is designed to work well with appliqué. *br>I use it to "baste" seams and hems, which means I do not have to use pins every time. However, it is water soluble, so you need to stitch by machine or by hand. I then stiched it with a machine.
I am sorry, but I cannot answer that question. The only thing I know is that this is a great glue pen for EPPs

In order to fill my collection, I purchased these.
English paper piecing consumes a great deal of glue as I go through my glue pens. To sew the paper pieces together, I use it to glue my fabric around the paper pieces. There is no better glue than this because it binds the fabric and the tracing paper together, yet it is easy to peel off. It is easy for me to use my iron to reset the glue if it releases before I need it to. SewLine glue pen can also be used with this refill.
It works great in either the Sewline glue pens or the Fons & Porter glue pens. Those that are more portable. However, I find that they are unreasonable, considering that I can use a whole cartridge within a few hours. Elmer's purple glue sticks are just as good. There are a couple of issues with the width, but it's not a dealbreaker.
While I like the ease of applying this glue and its glide, it does not meet the standards of other glues e. g. Elmers Washable Glue when it comes to being washed away. When you have appliqued a shape with blue applique, the blue resides in the crevasses of the fold, but if you have used a light color, such as white or yellow, the blue stays put. It's a good idea to avoid drying it in a dryer as well, as the heat could cause it to become stiff.
They have very little glue in them and they run out fast. I bought washable glue sticks at a dollar store a couple of years ago for quilting and they work just as well, if not better.
I love these, but would like them to be a bit bigger and not run out so fast. I love it. Most of the time, I use this tool to piece everything together. When will pins be a thing of the past? The way my seams come together when things are slipping around gives me a sense of pride. There should be no reason these are not a staple in any.
It's not the first time that I've purchased these glue pen refills. Generally, they work great when loaded into the pen properly however, maybe one-third of the time the glue refill has broken off at the tip and remained stuck within the With a toothpick, you can scrape it out so that it is usable. It could just as easily be operator error as it is, but 3/4 of the time they seem to be fine. Too expensive to risk it, so I'm going to try Elmers water soluble glue instead.
With this product, you can use as little or as much as you wish, it washes out, holds beautifully, and the blue color is easily visible on light and dark fabrics alike. They should be so proud of themselves for creating Applications requiring fabric to fabric pinless seams such as piece quilting, basting and tight spots where pins are inconvenient.
