It does not affect the color of your glue as this item is clear.
Slimes made with this solution are especially thick because of the Elmer's glue in it.
How consistent you want to be depends on your goals. There are usually 5 oz of glue for every 2 oz of paper. The liquid activator should be 3 oz. Mix Elmer's Magical Liquid well in between pours to minimize lumps. For slime to form, you need all of the Magical Liquid solution to be absorbed by the glue. Make sure the slime is thoroughly mixed with both hands after all the liquid has been added.
In its original form, this product was used for activating slime however, acrylic pouring has not been tested.

If you purchase some brix for about $8, add a teaspoon or two to a cup of water and you'll have a container of activated brix for almost indefinite use. To make matters worse, we always had to use double the recommended amount on the package, which resulted in even more money wasted. There's nothing more frustrating to me than to see trusted brands like Crayola ripping off families.
There's a lot of activator in one quart I know it says one, but I'm still blown away. This will really help my daughter since she makes an inordinate amount of slime. I've given her this larger size for Christmas, so it's a win-win situation for us. For us, this is a win. It is the best activator we have found so far, and we will probably use their other versions too.
This was purchased for a birthday party craft, but it proved to be a major failure. Eventually I was able to find my saline solution and that was perfect.
It was just in time for my 7-year-old who had been counting down the days ever since I ordered it. I followed the directions, but the "Magical Elixir" did not work upon opening it. Elmer's glue became runnier after it was dipped in it. Engineer that I am, I figured I just had the mixture wrong so I tried again, adding EML bit by bit, but the outcome was the same. My experiment turned out the same regardless of the amount of EML I used or which bottle of glue I mixed it with. Glue that runs more smoothly. IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE After we uncapped the EML bottle, we saw that there was no "safety seal" or paper or foil gasket to keep it sealed. Was we just given a bad batch of bottles or did the bottle "spoiled"? It would be nice if the seller could send me another bottle to establish that it was not just A 7 year old who is discouraged (and a 47 year old who is depressed) will find joy and encouragement in these poems!.
It was pretty sticky when I had 27 first graders. Thanks to a coworker, baking soda and contact solution came to the rescue.
Slime isn't even my favorite thing, but my granddaughters absolutely love it. There were five batches of these little treats I had to make for my grandmother to give to her school children. Using only two products reduced the amount of time I spent on the job. It was exhausting to lift those heavy things.

I am satisfied with the product. It will take a while to stir and you will need to add more than directed.
