In terms of fit and function, the item is excellent. The only drawback is that the sales picture gives the impression that it is a two-pack set, when in fact it only shows you the two POSITIONS that the sign can be set to display (the sliding function), and the glue strips on the back are a little weak. When mounting, start by cleaning with acetone (always test a small area for paint or stain lifting, and then mark off the area with the sign as a guide). Alternatively, a drop of gorilla glue on each mounting pad will suffice. When mounting, don't put too much pressure on it. The back plate must not be cracked.
This item was the ideal solution. My students are unable to read the sign, but they understand that red indicates that they are not permitted to enter and green indicates that they are permitted to do so. Before entering and exiting the bathroom, my students have learned to slide it over.
I bought it for work purposes. There is only one bathroom for the staff. We have keys to get into the bathroom, and I've surprised a few of my coworkers by doing so. This was exactly what I needed. All I have to do now is remember to slide it back to empty when I'm done. LOL.
