Modular plugs are attached to one side or both sides of this box for connecting to the modular track, but just a pigtail is inside for putting the wiring connections. In other words, there should be a minimum of six connections (three power, two neutral, and one ground) between either two wires or three wires (if one side). Due to the length of wire provided in the pigtails, there is just about no room for the one-way latch In a two-sided connection, I'm not sure I could have achieved that. In light of the modular nature of everything in this system, it would be easier to wire if they provided screw connections for each circuit, as if the circuitronic was itself a fixture.
A great system is just a part of it. There is no doubt that this is an expensive system, but it looks great in the new kitchen. I think the videos on the LeGrande website will save you a lot of time in planning and installing these units.
My only complaints are that they do not provide end caps in these units and that there is no adapter to connect the units together. It took me a month to email them about end caps, and I have not heard back since then.
I was very happy with how it turned out.
I didn't realize we needed this to hardwire the. It was perfect. I didn't realize we needed it to hardwire the track underneath the counter. It worked perfectly for me and I was able to get it after I ordered it much faster than elsewhere.
Installing the system was done by a contractor. It is everything I hoped for and more. I really like the hang points! As for the USB module, I'm still planning on adding it.
A strip that goes under the cabinet is required. I really like how it turned out Electrical outlets are not located on the backsplash of the kitchen.
It is important that they perform their duties.
