My favorite thing to do is work in an office. I was thrilled to discover such a great replica of Milton's stapler on Amazon, as it is one of my all-time favorite movies. I'm sending an email and will let you know how it goes. I thought this stapler would be of good quality, so I purchased it. It's a sturdy stapler with a nice feel to it. The first time I used it, it jammed, and I had to use a screw driver to pry the jammed staples out. After that, whenever I staple once, it becomes depressed, and I have to pull it apart and reset it. I tested the staples in a miniature stapler I had to make sure there was nothing wrong with them, and it worked perfectly. In comparison to this 16 dollar hefty stapler, which is only 2 inches long, the 5 dollar stapler is only 2 inches long. What the hell is going on? I've been using a stapler for quite some time, so I don't believe it's a case of user error. I've never had an issue with a Swingline stapler in the past. Is this venerable quality brand doomed to follow in the footsteps of the neeer kitchen aide mixers? br>br>I've sent an email to customer service, and I'll let you know what happens. We only used this stapler once or twice a week, and after about a year of use, it became severely jammed, and even after I removed the staples, it was no longer functional. When my husband tried to use it again, it only made things worse. It was brought to my attention by customer service. They claimed they couldn't help me because I had most likely used the wrong staples. She explained that I needed to use specific staples for this type of stapler or it would break. I'm curious as to whether or not everyone who purchases Swingline staples actually uses them. I even inquired about the differences between their staples and generic staples. They claimed it was due to the metal's composition. It didn't seem like a good explanation to me, but they're probably just trying to shift the blame away from their staplers and onto the staples. If this stapler was well-made, I'm sure it could do a lot of things. After a year of light use, it didn't break because it got jammed. I was extremely dissatisfied with their customer service, and I will not recommend this stapler to anyone in the future.
