WALMART is the place to go. br>THIS IS NOT AMAZON.
It's as quiet as it gets, and while I've never had the chance to use it in continuous mode, I believe it was well worth the money.
There is no need for an adapter because it has a standard AC plug, which I prefer!
Yes, it comes with a power cord. It can also be powered by batteries.

This is the most trustworthy review you'll ever find. In May of 2020, I purchased it on Amazon. It is the month of June. I threw it out and went back to Amazon to look for something new. If you buy it now, you'll almost certainly buy something else in 30 days.
I recently received an older version of this, which worked for one simple application before failing. Fortunately, Amazon exchanged the unit within a few days, and the replacement works fine / appears to work fine. br>br>With more experience, I discovered that this stapler is quite finicky in that the paper must be aligned in the stapler just right on axis with the stapler itself, and then, seemingly, optimally rotated for the sensor(s) for it to staple. So, yes, it is possible to make it work, but I haven't had much luck with it. in addition to being a retired physicist/professor with the presumed intelligence and ingenuity required for such a 'high-level' position devices that are technological.
I bought this stapler after spending more than twice as much on a Top of the Line Powerhouse stapler. It wasn't as portable as this one, which I needed. I had the Powerhouse stapler for three months before it started giving me problems, and I've had it replaced THREE times and it's still giving me problems, despite the fact that this little workhorse has never given me any trouble. It's battery-powered for me. It staples a stack that is larger than you think, and if I overdo it, it will stick, but it will quickly release my papers and allow me to continue working tirelessly. In over a year, I've only had to replace the batteries once, and I've never plugged it in. Swingline Optima staples are recommended, but they are not required. This is something I tell all of my coworkers about. for $20? It is impossible to make a mistake.
I like that this stapler has both a battery and a plug-in option. It turned out that I needed to use the batteries because the cord did not reach my nearest outlet, and it would have been a waste of money to buy an extension cord when all I needed was a foot of it. Maybe for Christmas, Santa will bring me a cord! In the meantime, it's fine; I only gave it four stars because when it staples, it makes a mechanical sound. I was used to the "clunk" of my old stapler. I used it to staple papers that were about an eighth of an inch thick and it worked perfectly.
It's fantastic! br>However, I am having a TERRIBLE time with this device. See. It's loud, and when you staple something, it makes a horrible noise, to the point where I considered returning it to where it came from (I HATE RETURNING THINGS). br>My only other gripe is that it doesn't take a full row of staples, which is inconvenient but not a deal breaker. I'm not sure I'd purchase it again.
Even two sheets of paper are no longer stapled with this stapler. Shortly after purchase, the strength to staple 10 sheets began to deteriorate, but it was still adequate for 2-sheet staples. I could staple 3 sheets if I could persuade the stapler to give up the sheets after its initial attempt, but it no longer will push the staple through the pages of even 2 sheets. It's total nonsense. BUYING IS A MISTAKE.
I'm running it on batteries so I don't have to worry about plugging it into the electrical octopus under my desk. Simply insert the sheets of paper into the openings and staple them. It has a surprising amount of power. It's no longer necessary to pry bent staples from papers and re-tape them. br>br>Oops, it only lasted a little over two years and was barely used. The warranty is only for one year. The star rating has been reduced from five to one. It no longer staples, and the channel for adding staples no longer pops out!.
I have a small desk, but I need a stapler, and this is a great little stapler for the price. It's a little difficult for me to use a manual one because I have arthritis in my hands. This inexpensive stapler is fantastic; it's small, but it's powerful, and it staples correctly the first time! It also comes with an AC adapter and can run on batteries if you need to take it with you, and guess what? It's extremely safe to use, so if you're in elementary school, you can start using it right away. It's no problem for teenagers! And the price is unbeatable. When the nieces and nephews return to school, I'll give them a couple more. My stapler and pencil sharpener are two of my favorite accessories.
