When I got one of these for lab work one time, I realized that they were exactly what I wanted for the rest of my life. Pages are numbered throughout, paper is thicker than printer paper (minimal to no feathering when using my fountain pen) , the book WILL reopen if you crease it from the edge to the middle when you first use it, and the grid spreads across the whole page. It is great to have "lab" notebooks with experiment numbers. I also love how the pages are bound and I think the black strip outside the notebook would be very annoying, but if it stays stuck, they would be the ultimate notebooks (and near the top of my list for my needs) thank you. There is only one problem with these, the edges of the black spine lift up (they are okay in the middle, like the pages don't fall out or anything, just the edges lift up), and then I have to glue them down so they stay in place - They're all in good shape and not like I threw them into a backpack a million times and it's all beaten up (I mean, I do that, but the covers don't show it at all if you're just careful not to tear them off). I would love to see this with more glued-in joints rather than just the threaded ones I must go for another 18-hours on spine or I will be forced to carry another 18-hours An online search for "the perfect notebooks" took more than an hour.
Despite its flimsiness, the book's cover is quite sturdy. There is no way in a universe that you are going to lay this notebook flat! There is no such thing as this. I do not think it's for me.
I thought I left my sliderule at school. Where is it? AP Physics is a requirement in my grandson's class this year and a lab notebook is part of the syllabus. As it turns out, I am a retired Physicist and had many of these on my shelves during my professional career. The only thing that seemed to have changed was the price. I had to explain why there were sewn in numbered pages (can't trust those physicists, but he got it). It is exactly what I was looking for, good quality at a reasonable price.
The first thing that I was told to get when I began my master's degree was a laboratory notebook. As there were no particular guidelines for what it could be, I started by finding what I personally felt was the best choice for everything. In the past, I only used loose leaf binders and $1 notebooks which are available in just about every convenience store, and for those of you who have dealt with lab work, you already know how egregious both can be in order to record your results accurately. There was just one notebook here that would fit just right, and I found it after searching for several days. The notebook I had looked at was smaller than a variety of other notebooks available from various different sites (yes, you need the right size lines in your notebook) and not sturdy enough to handle the wear and tear that I'm sure I'd The weight and texture of the package where I got my package in the mail informed me that I had made the right choice. Note books generally require a lot of maintenance and this one has no problem with spills and has held up to multiple spills in the lab. The pages do not tear or rip as easily as I think my favorite thing about this program is how the pages are numbered and there is a space to record the title of your study, the date, and for any other details you need to include! That particular fact didn't have any obvious reason to excite me however, the more and more work I did during the four years of my degree, the more useful it became. Do you know what your final grade is? The project is resilient, looks very professional, and continues to function despite a beating. You can be sure that I will order another notebook from here when I need another one.
Since it was sealed tightly in its own plastic page, I was so disappointed but I glued it on and I pray that it will hold. My friends who are looking for a great journal for a reasonable price would enjoy this notebook. I can see it becoming a big hit in the scrapbooking or journaling community. It is very easy for black tape to peel off*br Due to the thinness of the paper, you can't use sharp utensils like sharpies or heavy pens to mark-up on them. There is a lot of ripping off the pages so you can't bend the notebook all the way to write.
