The paper is of good quality. . . . It doesn't rip even after all of the bending and taping I do to secure it to my sublimation mugs, but it is difficult to see which side to print on. . . . But…. You'll notice a pink "hue" when you pull the paper out of the box from the back side. . . . You should print on the whiter side; I hope this helps. . . Also, do not use this paper to fill your paper tray. It will collect dust, which may become a part of your sublimation.
I like how thick the paper is and how well it prints. What irritates me is that I paid for 110 sheets and just opened this box to print an order today, only to discover that 50 of the 110 sheets are missing. If this is how this company operates, defrauding customers of the product quantity they paid for, I will not purchase this product again or recommend it to anyone.
I'm enjoying it so far. I recently used it on a shirt and was blown away by the amount of ink that transferred from the paper to the shirt; however, I'm not sure how well it will hold up in the wash. It appears to have faded slightly in the first wash, but that is to be expected with sublimation. I dislike the lack of a distinguishing mark between the front and back. It's possible to tell if the back is slightly pink or not.
Because it's difficult to tell which side to print on, good lighting is required. br>I was hoping they'd put a watermark on the side.
It's so aggravating! But this new Hippo subli paper feels so different that the quality difference is obvious. It is much firmer than the other one and does not lift from the edges. It does have a light pink side to help you distinguish between the two sides of the paper. For my custom phone cases, the images print beautifully and vividly! There haven't been any issues so far.
So, I'm going to include a photo of the box I received. This is not at all what I had anticipated. It also didn't include instructions on how to use it, such as which side should be facing up or which side should be left blank when printing. Also, neither side was floatable, making it difficult to distinguish between the two, and it felt more like construction paper than sublimation paper. I went ahead and tried it, including a picture of the result. It isn't the worst, but it isn't the best, either.
So, while it's a good deal, I'm not sure I'll buy it again because it's heavy and not ideal for wrapping around tumblers tightly without leaving crinkly areas near the bottom and rim when pressed. I would probably use it if I didn't make so many tumblers because it prints well and transfers well to the substrate.
To make ceramic ornaments, I used this paper, an Epson 2800 printer, and Hipoo sublimation ink. br>The printing was crisp, clear, and bright. I was pleased with the result.
