There is a sheer/shimmer on one side of the material. Some sides of the equation agree, while others do The product is in accordance with its description. The pearlescent sheen is pretty, but I don't like it only being on one side because it takes almost a day for the ink to dry on the glossy side. My printer is an old one so it might not be able to take the ink. For the purposes of creating greeting cards, I'm pleased with its performance.
Please keep in mind that this is a paper-like cardstock and not thick cardstock. I would use these colors for cards or to make flowers as they would be beautiful. Cards made from this paper would not stand on their own if die cuts were cut.
