I can't believe how thick they are! Easy to fold, but hard to unfold. The marker is not visible through the paper. It is only the price that I have an issue with. They are expensive. If the company lowers the price a bit, they might sell more cards since many women prefer card-sized recipe cards, since they stand up to many people using and sharing them. They would be great for flash cards for teachers as well. This is a great set of earbuds. You may want to look into selling thicker index cards at other office suppliers. From Amazon, I have in the past purchased 4 x 6 index cards. It is not clear if these were the same brand as my previous purchase, but I found them to be of lower quality. The only original cards I had left were some left from the first batch, and when I stacked these new ones on top of the old ones, it was very clear the edges on the new ones looked torn. It is possible that their blades were dull when they were cut. I would say that the old ones (being examined here) had clean edges, whereas the new ones, on the whole, have a rougher texture overall.
