Questions & Answers

What are the advantages and disadvantages of inkjet printers?

Generally speaking, these labels are suitable for use on newer inkjet printers. They are recommended for 2008 and later models.

If they are slightly damp, are they at all resistant to smudging or are they the "weatherproof" labels?

This is definitely not a waterproof or water resistant material. The texture of the label becomes fuzzy, and it lifts up (i.e. Wave like pattern) away from object. Laser printed ink did not smudge Despite the label's waterproof nature, the dampened label can tear if rubbed hard enough.

A bubble mailer 4x8 that measures 4x8 is what I use for shipping from home. It's going to be easy if I use USPS. What is the best way to print a shipping label with a shipping barcode etc.?

Normally it wouldn't be a problem since I use Avery labels for my product barcodes and mailings, and the free software from Avery is powerful and lets me print PDF files from them as well.

Can anyone advise me on how to remove a sticker from metal? My attempt to clean with soap and water failed and I used windex. ?

You can use some "Goo Gone" if you want to test it in a hidden place. Make sure the metal does not stain. As long as that goes well, the Goo Gone will soften the rest of the label and help you peel it off-- It can be done without It would be helpful if you nailed it. If you want to get rid of goo from a credit card edge, you can get it on Amazon, but you can also purchase it in many retail stores. Using Goo Gone on a paper towel will resolve any residual residue, but Windex with a paper towel will eliminate the problem.

It is a waste of time to do this An adhesive doesn't stick to the glass
3/5

A mistake was made when ordering this product. As soon as I typed in Avery 5164 into the search box, this product was one of Amazon's choices.
When it arrived, I was horrified to discover that it was meant only for laser As a result, I tested it through my inkjet printer because returning this item costs as much as purchasing it, so we were left with the choice of throwing it out of using it anyway. The results of this printed out perfectly on my Canon inkjet printer - I was very happy to note this - This is a print with no blurring, no smudging, and it is totally legible. *by far the biggest problem with the stickers is the lack of adhesive. The labels are peeling off one by one after I applied them one week ago. It is imperative that all of these be replaced To build some real sticking power, they are likely to go with an off brand.

I don't like templates, but I like labels
5/5

These labels are cool to me. Not only are they good for shipping labels, but they can also be used As far as using my laser printer goes, I have had no problems. The only complaint I have is that the Avery downloadable label templates are useless. Adding multiple pages at once is difficult, and the formatting always gets all messed up in the process. Thus, I made my own slide template on PowerPoint in a few minutes.

It's good to have labels, but the adhesive is It's been about 10 years now that I've been using Avery 5164 without any There are no jams, and these labels are excellent quality
3/5

Although in this box the labels don't stick to the folders, the box is a mess. In the end, however, the labels started peeling about a week after purchasing them. In the beginning, we thought only a few sheets were damaged, but as time went on, more and more folders started peeling. Before half a box had been consumed, we had no idea we had a problem. At that point, it had been nearly a month since the accident happened. Well, that's too bad. I guess we had a bad batch. It even didn't happen with the Staples brand.

He did what he was supposed to
5/5

A lot can be said about mailing labels but not a lot. It's good to see them in such a large size There is even space for a logo on these and they are great for printing a mailing address as well as a return address. The shirts were easy to print on (I have a low-resolution printer A high-end laser printer from Samsung) and didn't gum up the machine. Even when the envelope is a bit slippery, the adhesive stays in place well. In terms of a complaint, I would have to say that the label formatting needs a little bit of improvement. A couple of options for getting templates for MS Word are printed on the package. Eventually, I was able to get one of them to work, even though it wasn't very straightforward. It was a bit of a challenge with the formatting (the upper left label would want to place the text outside the printable area, so I had no choice but to use the middle left label instead, although that could be an issue with Word/Mac compatibility). I still prefer Avery, since the brand has proven reliable for me in the past and I am sure someone with an advanced word processing skill could handle this process more easily. This is a five-star rating.

Yes, of course
5/5

Labels are what they are. A mailing of 1000 of these bad boys was printed off. I like how well they stick. However, my color printer had minor issues with ink adhesion since it is an older device. On the labels, the ink would smear a bit, but not so bad that I felt like I couldn't print the labels. As long as you're watching football or something else to pass the time, I highly recommend asking your parents for assistance if you have to stuff and mail 1,000 envelopes.

Those are the kind of labels you need for bottles
5/5

Those are the labels I use for my Using it to label 12 is a perfect fit. The bottles are 7 ounces. Here are a few positive points The following are the results for "1" and "2" Printing them does not damage them, cause them to jam, bend or otherwise mess up the print. I can't think of anything else I could do. Peeling them off the sheet is simple, but they cling VERY firmly to the Then follow these steps -- In the case of these labels, they are thick enough to apply smoothly to bottles without wrinkling. In comparison to some other types of labels we've tried, this is a huge advantage. The following are examples of a paragraph Software packages usually include the 5264 template as part of their core functionality. It was a breeze to set up the labels to be printed. Here are some of the negatives So far, I haven't found any! Among the reviews, one reviewer stated that he had difficulty removing labels from bottles after they had been applied. The first thing to say is that generally speaking, that's a positive I don't want my labels to simply slide off after getting wet or going through extreme temperature changes, so I want them to be able to stay firmly attached. Last week, I tried to remove labels for the first time, and the process wasn't nearly as tough as I thought. I simply rinsed the bottles with hot running water for a few My next step is to place the bottles in a boiling water bath for five Most of the labels literally peeled off as soon as they hit the hot glass. There was only a bit of adhesive left on a few bottles, but that rubbed off easily enough when the glass In her case, me and my wife used a bit of environmentally friendly degreaser to remove the adhesive from a bottle that had not been boiled, and that seemed to work This product has all the qualities I would expect from a reputable company.

Please take note The margins are extremely narrow
3/5

They are nice labels, but they are so close to the edge, you'll have a tough time finding a printer that will print this closely Even though I have a number of very expensive, high-powered printers at work ($8k+), I could not find a single one that should print close enough to the edge to complete the I even don't want to think about home printers. We ended up having to trim off the white edges left on the left and right side of the paper because the margins are just too narrow.

Our company uses these for sending out mass mailings to friends they are perfect for themed party invitations
5/5

It is much easier to use these labels instead of handwritten addresses and such, and you can make a fun pattern to go with your events as well. 'So let's get right to the I-*- *- Then feed them one at a time into my Brother printer and they don't jam up - They have a huge library of 'templates' you can download online so you can print your addresses inside a picture that is unique to the event, a really nice feature, and their website is easy to navigate. . .
- I like the fact that the envelopes stick to themselves well, and I have no complaints about that. It has been a while since we last went through these, but I can say they work without hassle every.
