It is possible to work around this by putting a blank (clear) label over the printed label however, these labels are not quite clear enough to work well as over labels. If you can't find it on a label store, you can get it on online labels, they have very clear labels for printing with ink or laser They are not waterproof so you should plan on buying twice as many labels as you need. If you order too many labels, you can use the extras as "over" labels.

However, these worked great for my project. It was still worth a try for me, however. In order to print photos using my ink jet printer, I selected glossy photo paper and it worked very I was impressed with the ink quality and when I adhered them to my final product (which was glitter paper), they stuck very well and my final result was excellent. It was clear to see the images on the labels. There is only one thing that you need to be aware of the labels pick up your fingerprints, so a small portion of the edges shows very slight smudges. When I tried a few times and couldn't get it to come out, I used some tweezers and the problem was solved.
Despite the labels being advertised for use with an inkjet printer, the ink does not adhere to them, so I tried trying to place them on a product and ink comes off all over my hand. I even let them dry for about six hours and for 24 hours without success. This is not something I would recommend. Other options may be available to you. These labels were purchased for the purpose of putting on honey jars that I wanted clear ovals. My bottle looks great with the labels, however the ink will crack if I bend the labels. Water-resistant coatings also don't work well on products that are likely to be in contact with it. However, although I use a laser printer as recommended by the product, the ink does not adhere to the sticker properly. You shouldn't buy a product unless you want a professional looking label. You should buy something else if you want a label that will still look good after usage. The next time I buy, I won't do it.

These inks can rub off even after letting them rest for a few minutes, so I am not sure how they can sell them. In this case, the labels serve no purpose. Moreover, it is very difficult to put on and not leave fingerprints on the shirt.
It's a real disappointment. To use on glass bottles, I purchased these, but the labels have every fingerprint, crease, and bubble on them. There is so much adhesive on the label that it is impossible to position it properly without manually peeling and re-positioning You can only create more creases and fingerprints if you stick several times.
