I was in desperate need of something like this. The labels have a matte frosted finish that isn't completely clear, which I expected given the description, so I'm not sure why some people gave it a low rating and complained about it. One note: my printer does not have a "label" setting, so I had some trouble aligning them correctly when they printed at first, but I was able to fix it. The Avery website was simple to navigate, but the template had a flaw. Despite the fact that the item number on the package is 18695, it explicitly states that Avery template 5195 should be used, which I did. When I typed in 5195, the example appeared and matched the label configuration on my sheet, so I assumed I was good to go. However, when I printed a sample on plain paper, it didn't match the labels; the borders were way off, and the entire sheet was thrown off. I tried adjusting the settings manually, but the printed sample got worse each time. I was about to give up when I decided that just to be safe, I'd start over, using item 18695 as the template instead of the template it recommended. This produced a sheet that appeared to be identical to the label layout, so I printed a sample. This time the borders all matched perfectly, and the labels were only slightly off, so I used the Avery help function that said I was having trouble printing, and it gave me three pictures, one of which perfectly matched the problem I was having, so I clicked on that, and it told me what change to make in my printer pop up box, which I did, and it printed perfectly this time. So, if you're having trouble printing, try using the item as a template rather than the one that came with the package. I deducted a star because I'm not sure why they tell you to use that template instead of the item, and figuring it out cost me time, paper, and frustration.
The Avery template is not compatible with Macs. To make my own template, I put in about 2 hours and used a full pack of stickers. I couldn't even get the sample template to print correctly (so you don't waste stickers). And, as a side note, I'd be thinking it, so I'll say it: I'm pretty sure this wasn't a mistake on the part of the user. I've received professional training in printer troubleshooting. In addition, the Avery website template reviews have complaints that are similar to mine. If you have a PC, it may simply be a matter of Mac numbers, or if you have the know-how and patience to create your own template- Most envelopes will look great with these stickers on them. Because the stickers have a frosted or matte appearance, they aren't completely clear.
As directed in the directions, print a test sheet. After feeding three sheets of labels, I noticed that the labels were not printing within the margin. I re-aligned the test sheet to make sure they were printing in the margins, and they were. I used an older label page with the same template as before, but without the "SureFeed Technology" and BAM in the margins. Because of this small test, I believe the labels were rendered defective and thus unusable due to design flaws.
Labels for yourself This item was purchased from a nearby office supply store. The Amazon price is comparable to, if not less than, the store price, and it's ideal for creating your own return address labels in a variety of designs using the appropriate Avery template. In comparison to ordering pre-made items, this is a very cost-effective item. labels that have been printed Any color envelope looks great with a sheer label.
These aren't particularly clear, and they'll appear yellowish if placed on white. It's not nice. Also, I used the Avery template and printed from the Avery site, as well as printing a master to check the positions before printing on the tables, but it printed them too high on the page, and I had to go through some conniptions to get them to print correctly. The template is also not available in Word, making mail merge a real challenge.
We had two sheets of labels that had been misplaced. After clearing the tray and working with each of them individually, feed them. Avery was contacted because the box clearly states that they have a guaranteed feed guarantee- The labels would be replaced, according to the information I was given. It's been over a month since that happened. I am still waiting for a replacement. I tried contacting them again, but they did not respond.
Avery makes the best labels, hands down, based on my previous experience. down. This isn't one of them - It has a nice appearance, is simple to use, and is inexpensive. They are not completely transparent in all situations, just like most "clear" labels or tape. The label's visibility varies depending on the material to which it is adhered. They're mostly used on white posterboard, and they're mostly transparent there, with only a few edges visible. When I stick one of these labels on a plastic baggie, however, it's as visible as a piece of Scotch tape. Overall, these are high-quality labels that I will continue to buy.
I looked everywhere for the perfect label to put on my perfume oil bottles and couldn't find it. I printed these labels on an inkjet printer, and the ink never smears or runs.
