Questions & Answers

What is the maximum number of tapes that the case can hold?

I've gotten my printer. case. Only three tapes can be stored in the tape storage area. The depth is 6". That's your 'budget,' if you'll pardon the expression. Individual cartridge thickness appears to be a tenth of an inch larger than the tape size, with a minimum cartridge thickness of 0. 65". As a result, the tape with a diameter of one inch is 1. The 3/4" tape is 1" thick and 1" thick. The thickness is 85" thick, with a 1/2" thickness on each side. Tapes with a thickness of 1/4" have a minimum thickness of 0. 65" (I'm assuming the 3/8" is as well). br>To find out how many tapes you can store, add up your choices until you run out of money. Three 1" tapes, four 3/4" tapes, or five of the minimum-size tapes can be stored using this method. tapes of various sizes Or any combination that fits your budget, such as one of each (the 1", 3/4", 1/2", and 1/4" cartridges total three). 25").

Is it possible to use this machine to print labels directly from a computer?

Yes, you certainly can. You must first install the software on your computer before connecting the label printer to it using the included cable, but the process is simple.

My margins are set to small, but it still cuts a blank tape before each label. It's a waste of tape to do this. What am I supposed to do now?

Thank you so much, Justin and Wayne. I'm replacing an older machine that died due to corroded batteries, and it appears that most current models don't even cut the result of the "waste tape function," as I've always referred to it. "At the very least, this model won't necessitate the use of scissors." I can add to my collection of one-inch blank labels, which I use to write on with a sharpie.

Is it possible for the ac adapter to accept 230 volt power (for those of us who don't live in the United States)?

Yes, it is possible. The AC adapter is a two-pronged US 2-pronged AC adapter. prong, but accepts 100-percent of the time 240 Volts, 50/60 Hertz.

It's a good label maker, but it's not perfect
4/5

I like the color screen and the fact that I can print 1" labels. The PC software layout and usability aren't my favorite, but it gets the job done and gives you a lot more options than the basic machine. It wastes about an inch of tape before each print, but you can adjust that as well. When compared to my older brother's label makers, this model wastes less at the beginning and end of each label (unless you chain print). br>br>The blow-molded plastic case works fine, but it could have been designed a little better in my opinion. The case is enormous and looks like a typewriter case (yes, it's that big). Despite its size, there is a lot of wasted space inside, and it only holds a few tapes (approximately 3 1" tapes, or about 5-inch tapes). 6 tapes of different sizes). It could fit a lot more people if the lid wasn't tapered. If you only use black-and-white photos, it'll be difficult to stand out If you only have a few white tapes, you should be fine, but if you buy one of the multi-color packs on Amazon, you won't be able to fit them all in; If you buy a variety of tape sizes, you won't be able to fit them all in. Yes, brother tapes are ridiculously expensive, but there are plenty of cheaper alternatives that work just as well; the cheaper ones aren't quite as good as the brother tapes, but they generally work fine with the printers I've used (including this one and three others).

This is a fantastic product that does almost everything you could want from a label maker and comes with a convenient carrying case
5/5

This P- has been in my possession for quite some time now. I've been in touch with you for a few months now and I'm blown away! The label maker is simple to use on its own, and the color screen makes it simple to check what you're printing. The included case is what makes this purchase a "Love It" because it allows me to keep the Label Maker, all of the label tape I need, the power cord, and the USB cable all in one convenient location (see photo). br>The computer software is not as user-friendly as I had hoped, but I was able to print out some logos using images from the internet. Because the print quality of my downloaded images was so good, I'll be using that feature again in the future. br>To summarize, this is an excellent purchase for any label-making need you may have!.

A very useful label printer that can be used to create labels when connected to a computer
5/5

This printer took the place of a 12-year-old model. Brother P-, the old one Make contact with the printer that has stopped working. I like that this one can be connected to a computer and printed labels using my computer keyboard, thanks to included software and a USB cable. The user can choose from a variety of fonts, font sizes, and borders, as well as print UPC and EAN product barcodes as well as other industrial barcodes. Printing multiple lines of type, such as an address label, is also possible with this printer. , depending on the tape cartridge size that has been installed in the printer. When the printer is not connected, it also has a fairly large color screen for easy reading. a computerbr>br>I am a huge DVD and Blu-ray movie collectorbr>br> I'm out of storage space for Blu-rays, so I'm stacking them in their factory cases in alphabetical order, cover to cover. to make more shelf space by laying it down on its side. When video discs were first released, the plastic cases were all labeled across the top edge with the title and other pertinent information about the film, such as whether it was a "director's cut," "widescreen," etc. , but, I suppose, to save on production costs, more and more discs have been released without a title sticker attached to the top edge of the plastic case. So, using this Brother label printer, I can add titles and UPC barcodes to all of my movies and other videos in my collection, making it easier for me to locate a specific video when I want to watch it. br>br>The printer comes with a starter 11 millimeter tall TZe white tape cartridge (which I am using for my movie case tagging project) that is plenty big for most other projects around the house, such as labeling the contents of tool drawers and cabinets, and a taller, 24 mm TZe tape cartridge that can print larger labels, such as tagging individual circuit breakers for the house, or labeling storage boxes and crates. The version I purchased, the PTD600VP, comes with a nice, heavy-duty black plastic carrying case that holds the printer, several printer tape cassettes, as well as the USB and power cords, which is useful if I ever need to use it away from home. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh BTW, as much as I like this printer package, I've discovered that the aftermarket TZe-series printers aren't as good. Compatible tape cartridges, which are available in bulk on Amazon from a variety of vendors, are of comparable quality to Brother tape cartridges. Except for the cartridge color and the lack of the Brother logo, they look and perform exactly like the OEM tapes. I purchased a number of ten dollar bills. For $28, you can get a count package of Zencoma compatible TZe tapes. In comparison to a 4-pack of cigarettes, each of these costs 99 cents. I paid more than $45 for a package of Brother tapes at Costco. 00 or more if purchased separately from Office Depot or Staples.

Trims label to fit text but not the other way around - It's impossible to figure out the feature matrix
3/5

I'm not sure why some Brother ptouch label makers do this and others don't, but there is no option to enable it on this one. If you value your time, don't buy; I wish there were far fewer models with distinct sets of features to choose from. When I go out and buy these things, I always feel like I'm playing a game of label maker roulette.

You'll love all of the features on this machine; it's a little more expensive, but it has a lot more! This new label maker has made me very happy! The instruction book is a little clumsy, but once you get used to the symbols in the directions, you'll be a label expert! It only takes a few minutes to unpack, plug in, and read the instructions, and you'll be on your way to making simple labels
5/5

Once you've mastered the basics, you can move on to learning about the various fonts and symbols available for creating more elaborate labels. The only negative aspect of this product is the GIANT case it comes in! It could be made much smaller while still holding the label maker, charger, a few tape cartridges, and other items. br>br>Update: To make sure we knew which charger or cord goes with which device, we labeled all of our phone charging cords, computer cords, electric bike cords, electric tool charger cords, and gaming cords. I now have the label maker connected to our computer, using the P-touch software. Touch software provides a plethora of additional features, including the ability to add small images to your labels. This machine is fantastic. br>br>Update: Now, whenever we buy a new device, we go straight to the Brother machine and print out wire labels to make sure we know which wire goes with which device; I keep it permanently connected to our computer.
